I bought a front suspention rebuild kit from Mustangs Unlimited and thestrut rod bushings are ureathane. I've done a search but didn't find what I was looking for. I've heard you should install the "cups" backwards so the bushings can actually flex some...is this true? Also on the old bushing there was like a sleave that held the bushing together one coming from each side. Mine are no good. Do i need these as it appears that they will not fit through the new pin that the new bushings slide together on.
Thanks
Justin

Yes, you should install the washers backwards with the cupped part away from the bushings but I don't suggest running them on a 67 and up car to begin with due to the possibility of strut rod breakage. If you must run them do not over tighten them.
