Well I have a 68 mustang coupe and when i bought the car in a box basically and have finally gotten around to getting the front end put on. Now my question is I have my hood on however it will not close right the fender gaps and cowling gap seem to be ok however the hood sits higher than the fenders and cowling I dunno what gives  I've tried ajusting the hinges several ways. Asides trial and error are there any tricks or tips to doing this? It is a repro hood, that came with the car. :bang: Thanks guys

Open the hood, loosen up all 3 bolts on the hinge where it attaches to the engine bay on both sides.

Put wrench on front most bolt, with other hand push up on the hood as hard as you can like you are opening it...this will pivot the hinge...while holding in place, tighten nut and then tighten the other 2...walk around to other side and do the same thing...this will lower the back of the hood when it is closed. Be careful though cause it is possible to adjust it too far this way and have it hit the cowl so lower slowly.
