gears: to change or not to change

Ok. I'll be the black sheep here. How about 3:55's? They are a bit more agressive, but will be perfectly fine for long highway commutes. I personally have 4:10's and LOVE them, but I also rarely drive on the highway.

Flushed my coolant - Now have problem

The problem is called an air lock. Keep bleeding the system. It is kind of like when you go into a new house & turn on the shower for the first time. It spits & sputters all the air out before you get a steady stream. In an enclosed system like your coolant system, the air just can't find its...

Think I found my first mod

I just put that combo on my car and I like it. The throttle response is crisp and I feel a bit more snap when I am running around 50 & stand on it. With some other mods, it is well worth the money in my opinion. I am getting set to go to the track this coming weekend. I will post the difference...

    mustangs with stripes..?? anyone

Hey Urban96, I have the silver reflective version of those on my car. They look really good, but be careful if you get them. Mine got a little too much exposure to acid rain and they have spots on them that will not come out. I will probably end up replacing them.

I ran 14.1 @ 99 with the mods in my sig & very little traction from my well worn original tires.

    My flyswatter

I can sympathize with you since I live in Fla. as well and deal with love bugs every season. If you mix up some baking soda & water and put it on the bugs, it will break them up. Since they are acidic, the baking soda kind of neutralizes it and they will come off easier. It's the same principle...

    Water Spots

They are vinyl with a metallic look to them. I have tried everything and it won't come off. I may just have to replace them. I appreciate the reply!

My 4.6 motor seems a little shaky??

You would know if your mounts are broken. If you want a quick way to see for sure, start it and pop the hood. While you are sitting in the drivers' seat, watch the engine through the space between the hood & windshield while you stab at the throttle. Engines with good mounts will twitch. Engines...

My 4.6 motor seems a little shaky??

Not to get off topic, but you should not use armor all or any silicone agent on your hoses. It will actually cause the materials to break down at a faster rate and crack more easily.

    Clean your tips...

I love Brasso. I use it to clean my chrome rims a couple times a year. It will take anything off of them. It leaves a nice shine too.

    Water Spots

I have some decal stripes on my hood and they are covered in water spots. I have tried everything I can think of, and nothing has helped. I really don't want to take them off because when they were clean, they looked really good. Now they just look dirty all the time. Any ideas????

    Speedo Recalibration

I am getting set to have some 4:10 gears installed. How do I go about recalibrating the speedo? I have heard all you need is a tuner like a predator.

    ET's

Well, as far as elevation goes, we are very low in this area. Only a few feet above sea level. The climate at that time was very hot and very humid. I know that is a big factor. I figure I should be ok when I go to the track since it has been in the low 70's with moderate humidity lately. As...

    ET's

I have an '02 GT auto. Pretty much all stock except for a Flowmaster exhaust. I am getting set to take it to the track before doing my first round of mods. I tried it out with a G-Timer a few months ago. It mostly ran 15.0 according to the G-Timer. It was hot (probably 90+ degrees). Does that...
