    Hesitation in 2nd and backfire at 3500

    I changed the plugs with no luck. Just put on new cap and rotor and plug wires only have 3K miles on them. I checked the wires to make sure the firing order is correct and added injector cleaner (injectors were taken from a mark VIII with 70K miles on it and they looked fine)

    I would guess the cable like LXVert said because if the resistance is too high it will draw more current causing it to smoke

    Thanks for the help jsynhon was able to get it started just have to get a 24 # maf. You can smell the extra gas coming out the exhaust.

    MAF sensor question

    Another question after doing some research on the MAF. If I were to use the original MAF sensor and go from 55 MM to 80 MM housing and go from 19 to 24 injectors would the bigger size injectors correct for the extra air coming in.

    I would agree on the forced induction with low boost maybe some 24# injectors . I know some people with 93 cobra's with only 18K mileage and the supercharger looks like it should be there. Also if you decide to go back to stock it is real simple to take out.
