Just for future reference if you ever need some e-torx sockets again, here is a really cheap kit I stumbled upon: http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/lis26750.html

    Big slicks size dilemma

I agree with Stan that the 26" tire 3.90 tire gear combo would probably work best for you and save you some work.

    Big slicks size dilemma

Well there is the DOT approved ET Street which has a non-radial wrinkle side wall design like this: Then there is the DOT approved ET Street Radial that has a radial bias-ply design like a traditional radial street tire like this: Then to add even further confusion:), there is the...

    New Rubber

Backspacing has nothing to do with the space between the inside of the wheel and the caliper. Backspacing is the distance from the back edge(inside) of the wheel to the hub mounting surface. To determine the wheel backspace: 1. Position the wheel face down. 2. Lay a straight-edge...

    Help!!!

You don't have to wait 12 hrs for PBlaster to penetrate. 30 mins max. If that doesn't work, try some of that CRC freeze off.

    Car just stopped pulling...

I doubt it's fuel filter or pump related, or else it would do it all the time under any kind of load. I bet you 5 bucks that you were sucking in enough moisture to get the MAF sensor elements moist. That would excessively cool them and fool the PCM into thinking there was a bunch more air coming...

    Help!!!

I've always been a big fan of PBlaster, and still am, but I have found something that works even better and it works instantly. CRC Freeze Off. It works awesome.:nice:

    Big slicks size dilemma

http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/tech.php?bulletin=s1 You can't just go by the compound's hardness/softness rating. It all depends on the sidewall contruction, compound used, and intended tire use. The ET Streets with M5 compound are just as sticky as the ET Drags with the M5 compound...

what is the size of the 12 point pinion flange bolts?

You need what's called an external (female) torx socket. They come in "E" sizes, for example E10, E12, etc. If memory serves me correctly, it's a 12mm or E12 socket. EDIT: A couple things I forgot to mention. Make sure you make a mark across both flanges so that when you go to re-install the...

    Big slicks size dilemma

Both 10.5 tires come in the M5 compound, which is much stickier than the L compounds. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.php?item=ETDrag http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.php?item=ETStreet

    I'm Baffled..Car starting problems

Based upon my experience, 9 times out of 10, those two codes point to a bad alternator, or an alternator on the way out. The low voltage will trigger the CMP codes, but there is likely nothing wrong with the CMP sesnor at all.

Max HP stock injectors can take??

From what I've seen these NPI motors usually are around a .44-.46 BSFC. When calculating fuel system requirements you have to talk about the HP at the crank, the fuel system has no idea what kind of drivetrain loss we have and doesn't care. It only knows the current load on the motor and the...

    Big slicks size dilemma

The ET Streets have the same M5 compound as the other small 28" or less ET Drags. The only difference between the ET Streets and the ET Drags is that ET Streets have siping cut into them to help control water if you encounter a wet road. But we all know that even with an ET Street, trying to...

    I'm Baffled..Car starting problems

Mr Game, I don't know about your previous thread, but by any chance were you getting codes P0340 or P0344? The CMP (camshaft postion sensor) is used to correctly time the firing (pulsing) of the fuel injectors. If you have the variable reluctance type CMP sensor(2 wire non gear driven), and...

    96 GT Starting/Running issues

Did you disconnect the negative terminal ever? The KAM (Keep Alive Memory) portion of the PCM requires very little power to keep the stored memory intact. There is a good chance the battery still had enough power to feed the KAM, but not enough to turn the starter or power the rest of the car...

Tubular k-member on a street car

I know lots of guys (including myself) who have PA, AJE, D&D, and UPR k-members and have put them through many dropped wheelstands and they never broke. Dropped 45° wheelstands aren't easy on k-members either.:nice: The Griggs and MM k-members are designed for road racing because of the...
