Mr Game, I don't know about your previous thread, but by any chance were you getting codes P0340 or P0344?
The CMP (camshaft postion sensor) is used to correctly time the firing (pulsing) of the fuel injectors. If you have the variable reluctance type CMP sensor(2 wire non gear driven), and the CMP sensor did not correctly pick up the cylinder sequence right away, the PCM will abandon the sequential injector firing sequence and fall back on a batch fire injector table. This means the injector is just blindly fired once for every 2 revolutions of the crank. This can cause starting and running problems obviously. The COP's are also fired by using the CMP input as part of the ignition timing strategy.
