    Which head porter????

Ok, I am putting together parts to build a 351 stroker(408-427) using my current TF track heats. I have contacted several porters and prices are close enough not to worry about that, but more about results. So... TEA, Fox Lake, Thumper or ??? It has been suggested to go with a 205cc intake...

    Both Door Handles Broke.

Everyone may also want to check out the condition of the door hinge bushings. I have found a sagging door causes more broken handles than anything.

    Gangsta lean!

Actually I think it would take more that just resting the body on stands. You would probably have to have it pulled. I just recently ran across a thread. The guy had the car on stands on level concrete. It was only hitting 3 of the 4 stands. I do wonder if you could get it somewhat closer...

    351 head choices

So now I just need to decide where to send them and pick out an intake. Guess I need to start emailing different compainies to get their take on everything. Probably start with TEA and Fox Lake. Any other places?

    351 head choices

It will definatly be a stroker. Just undecided as far as final cubic inches. What would the main difference between box stock AFR 205s and having mine CNC ported to 205 be? I guess that is what I have really needed to ask all along.

    351 head choices

Ok, I had a post ealier with no responsed, so let me rework it a bit. I will be building a 351/410-427 stroker. I already have a set of track heat twisted wedge heads from my old 5.0. Engine will be forced induction with a d1 procharger or turbo of similar cfm. Car is driven 1000-2000 miles a...

    Sub-frame connectors

you can use jack stands on the rear end and blocks under the front tires. There are other ways of doing it as well. I have read about quite a few people that actually do them with the darn near the whole car apart.

help make decision on new engine combo

Guys, I have to decided to retire my 5.0 and upgrade to a 351. I am planning on using an all forged stroker kit, most likely 416 or 427, but not set in stone. Right now I have a set of box stock trickflow track heat heads.I will stay with fuel injection. Cam will be custom hydraulic roller...

    Sub-frame connectors

I would say that if you even think you might end up at the track and need a cage then go to through floor type. The other nice thing about through floor, is you dont loose any ground clearance. The only other type that I would put, are full length. While you are at it, you might as well weld up...

Do I need a SFI balancer and flexplate for the street?

That would be fine. I would call and make sure that you dont need a spacer though. Most aftermarket balancers are sort of universal and require spacers to get the correct pulley spacing. I got mine from professional products.

Do I need a SFI balancer and flexplate for the street?

I would not recommend it. I recently went through this. My brand new pioneer balancer last all of about 1000 or less. When it broke, it took out my waterpump, fan, fan clutch, fan shroud, radiator, and a power steering hose. Mine actually broke at the crank. I went ahead and upgraded to the SFI...

    Radiator 87 - 93. Best Replacement!

Either one of these 2 fit with very little, almost no modification. I have the griffin. The biggest difference is the bottom hose. I just got a universal flex hose. The top hose was factory, just had to lube it up really well to get it on. I even bolted the orginal fan shroud to the radiator and...

Best way to cool car? Electric fan or Rad?

I saw the single biggest improvement on my car when I changed the fan clutch. I had previously changed to a 180*, H/V waterpump, water wetter, and the 31x19 universal alum radiator. Those 5 together dropped maybe 5*. If i made a run around my block(3 miles) and beat on it, it was around 220+...

How do I make a block roller

Not all 351 roller blocks came with roller lifters. You really need to check the block date of manufacture. The solid lifters will work, but require many other things like springs, pushrods, etc, etc made for a solid cam

Car will not start with spout removed

Thanks alot Guys. Unfortunatly, my buddy had to go offshore last night on an emergency job, so I dont know when I will get a chance to look at the car again. I was really leaning towards a bad TFI module or possibly computer, but with all the cut and/or spliced wires, who knows. The fact that...

Car will not start with spout removed

Guys I need a few ideas of where to start looking. I wanted to set the timing, so I removed spout. Engine will not start, no matter where distribitor is turned. Plug spout in, starts fine. For now the timing is set at about 25* with spout in, just to allow him to get it back and forth to my...
