    Motor Mount Selection Help

I need to replace the motor and tranny mounts on my '86 T-Top. Here are the known engine mods: - Yates SVO heads - Tubular GT-40 intake - 70mm Accufab TB - 75mm Pro-M MAF w/ 24# injectors - Non stock fairly lumpy cam (not sure of specs, installed by previous owner) Also has: - Subframe...

    electric power steering pump?

So has anyone gotten this to work in a Fox? I'm very interested. My dad installed an EPAS kit in his '65 vert and it works fantastic! I'd love to get the PS pump out of the engine bay. Sick of the PS pump whine and leaks!

302 (347) Ford Thrust Bearing Issues

Setting the torque converter play is critical, but mostly for the torque converter's health. If I recall correctly you don't want the torque converter pulled out of the trans more than about an inch or so. If it is torque converter related Dan over at Silverfox could definitely give you an...

    Hard Cranking

RESOLVED - Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I went through all of the battery connections and double checked the starter cable. Everything looked good in terms of condition of the cables. I moved the battery ground from the A/C bracket to the motor mount bolt on the driver's side. I...

    Hard Cranking

I think you might be on to something with the ground. I noticed the battery is grounded to the a/c bracket and not directly to the block. I will fix that and see if it fixes the issue.

    Hard Cranking

I have this issue of very labored and slow cranking when engine is hot. It acts like a heat soaked starter going bad, so I replaced the starter and wrapped it in heat reflective material. This has always worked for me in the past. No dice...it is still doing it. Battery is new and fully...

Has Anyone Installed Late Model Stock Mufflers On A Fox?

How loud are the MagnaFlows at freeway cruising speeds? I don't mind some noise at WOT but cruising between 2,000 to 2,500 RPM I want it quiet

Has Anyone Installed Late Model Stock Mufflers On A Fox?

Thanks for the responses. I think I may take both of your advice. I believe the PO put flowmaster 40s on it. I'll probably swap them out for walkers or dynomax super turbos with the bullet mufflers, I have the Dynomax super turbos on my '68 and they do a reasonably good job of quieting down...

Has Anyone Installed Late Model Stock Mufflers On A Fox?

I'm old and am sick of exhaust drone :) I am looking to make my daily commute as comfortable (quiet) as possible. My current setup is an '86 GT with SVO Y-302 heads, tubular GT-40 intake, Accufab 70mm TB, BBK shorty equal length headers, and stock catted h pipe. I like the sound on stock GT...

    Guess My H P !!! - The Dyno & 1/4 Mile Time Thread

First dyno pull on the 347 in my '68. I gambled on the CR and lost - we could only put 26* of total timing in it on 91 octane pump gas. Nevertheless here are my results: - Probe -6 cc pistons - Probe crank - AFR 185 heads,1.6 Comp Gold rockers - Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, ported by Ed...

Engine Inline 6 Build With Alum Head.

Interesting, it looks like both the head and the intake have bosses for port fuel injection. That would be a really cool project for Megasquirt, Ahhh someday.... :)

Engine Inline 6 Build With Alum Head.

Coolest project I've seen in a long time! Spectre makes that intake manifold? It's been several years since we sold my wife's '67 convertible with the 200 six, at that time the only good intake manifold was off of the Aussie 250. How much power are you expecting to make? I always thought it...
