I have another head I'm putting in its place so the core can have big valves put in (this will be #2 big valve SVO)...

    thats what i was thinking, it goes out of the vam to a 30 degree abs 3in elbow. thats all. if there happend to be an air pocket in the turbo feed line would that be enough to toast the bearings in the turbo?

    heres a solution: unbolt transmission from car attach about 100yards of nylon marine rope. find a deep lake or a pond. drop in water presto new boat anchor. -- go to the junkyard get a t-5 and the peddal assy. and just swap it over.

    79 2.3 turbo clutch stiff

    go buy a 87-91 2.3 n/a start saving for a turbo motor. when tuned and properly maint. they last a long time. as fun as turbos are you cant beat the piss out of on a regular basis. 79 is a carbed turbo 2.3. check the clutch cable they start binding really easy when they get old. probably be fine...

    HELP!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!

    sounds like you jumped time. check the timming belt tensioner make sure it still has some tension left in it. reset base timming and try again. oh why your in there change the belt too. fuel pressure should be around 40psi TFI module is located on the back side of the dist. toward the firewall.

    okay seat track - broken left rear mounting tab. body - theres a nice 2 1/2in square hole where the metal around the stud on the front left of the seat bolts to. WTF!!! So what do i do. the track is replacable for the seat. big deal for that. what would you guys reccomend somehow see if i can...

    well it looks to be the mounts on body itself, i cant really see too much with the carpet in the way i'm gonna pull the seat tonight when i get home and see whats the deal. I felt around and it seems the mount on right rear of the seat (drivers) is cracked and broken.

    seat question

    does the drivers seat have a fixed mount tab in which the four bolts go through? and can they be replaced. it appears the left side seat mounts have broken and is really starting to piss me off...:bang: any ideas?
