seat question

does the drivers seat have a fixed mount tab in which the four bolts go through? and can they be replaced. it appears the left side seat mounts have broken and is really starting to piss me off... any ideas?

Are the mounts you're talking about on the seat or on the floor? If they're on the seat, you could always switch it with the passenger seat as a temporary solution.

well it looks to be the mounts on body itself, i cant really see too much with the carpet in the way i'm gonna pull the seat tonight when i get home and see whats the deal. I felt around and it seems the mount on right rear of the seat (drivers) is cracked and broken.

Above the carpet, it's attached to the seat. Beneath the carpet, it's part of the body.

The front mounts slide over studs coming from the body, the back mounts line up with holes in the floor and are through-bolted.

If you can lift the supsected broken corner from the floor and the bolt stays on the floor, it's the seat track.

okay seat track - broken left rear mounting tab.

body - theres a nice 2 1/2in square hole where the metal around the stud on the front left of the seat bolts to. WTF!!!


So what do i do. the track is replacable for the seat. big deal for that. what would you guys reccomend somehow see if i can manage to weld somthing in place as an achor? When I get home from work I get pics. As for now the passenger seat bolted nicly into drivers posistion.

seat frame or track drivers seat
seat belt buckles (front)
rear lx hatch spoiler or whole decklid\
BCS solenoide for smog/emission check
