    torque converter flush

I just rebuilt an automatic, its an A4LD, so higher stall is a no. I need to get the torque converter flushed out or i'll have to replace it. Has anybody had any luck doing this? There is no drain plug, just the hub openings. I know most will say replace it, but i'd like to flush it, even just...

    Bad starter? Relay? Both?

I would start by replacing the ignition switch. You have to able to turn off the car.

    Amp meter not working

Does it fluctuate with rpm changes? If so, then its because you wired with one wire and its reading discharge.

    Crap Ass Equal Lengths

Ditch those hex bolts and go with allen bolts. It made my install so much easier. The ball end on my bondus socket adapter made torqueing from different angles easy.

    Brakes locked, someone please help!!

On my car, there is a direct brake line from the master cyl. to the driver front wheel. Nothing in between. So assuming the brakes are bled and the calipers are lubricated properly, Im leaning toward the master cyl. not releasing them.

    Brakes locked, someone please help!!

It sounds like a master cyl. problem but try lubricating the caliper pins with the high temp brake grease and bleed them again.

    87 mas air conversion

The mass air sensor and its harness is needed along with the intake plumbing and a vacuum plug for the map sensor line. There is a good writeup of this in the tech articles of this website.

    Removing ring and pinion

I stacked a bunch of long 1/2" extensions together and pushed through the carrier cross pin hole as leverage against breaking those ring gear bolts loose. I think breaking the pinion nut loose would be the hard part in the junk yard. Get a long breaker bar and pipe.

    any machinists in here?

I just got my first experience with a cnc machine(Haas VF-2 three axis $80,000 machine). It was awesome. So many possibilities. I was making some custom hardware for my motorcycle but plan on doing stuff for the stang. Here are some pics. The carbide endmill cuts through steel like butter...

2.73 to 3.73 gears (any problems?)

I didn't have to change the pinion shim at all and I went from 2.73-3.73 but I replaced the shim anyways with the bearing swap. But I did have to swap from the carrier shims that were in the car to get the right backlash. The ford gears are awesome in that way.

Thumbs down on trick flow products. *rant*

The air pressure keeps the valves from falling into the cylinders while you do the keeper search. It was a future tip.
