    Cable Clutch Adjustment ?

Finished installing my new cable today after I fried the first. Anyway, the clutch does not disengage until the pedal is about half way off the floor, I like it to disengage much sooner than that. Do I need to tighten or loosen the cable to the fork? Thanks,

Modern Driveline Clutch Cable w/Hedman Elite Shorties

Clutch Cable w/Headman Elite Shorties When I told Bruce over at Modern Driveline what Headers I had and how the cable rubbed up against the collector, he seemed perplexed that I was having problems. Not sure how many others are running my setup, maybe I'm the first....:jaw:

    Sticky Cable Clutch Mod. Driveline

The collector for the headers is almost directly in line with the way the cabel connects to the clutch fork. I don't think I can reroute the cable w/out putting a big kink in the cable. My new cable should be in next week, Bruce had them in stock. I'll see about getting some pictures when I...

Modern Driveline Clutch Cable w/Hedman Elite Shorties

Well I just fried my Modern Driveline clutch cable in my '68 a couple of weeks ago. I did the T5 swap a little over a year ago so the cable lasted about that long. I'm running Hedman Elite Shorties on my 289, and using the late model bell housing & clutch fork setup. The clutch cable basically...

    Throw Out Bearing $$

NAPA usually has good Made In USA stuff. Autozone & Oreilly should have the good stuff also, you just have to ask for it or they will give you the Made in China one.

    Sticky Cable Clutch Mod. Driveline

Well I finally found the time to check my cable out and it is fried. Any idea how much a new cable from Modern Driveline runs? I don't think I can route it away from the headers so I'll probably have to wrap my headers & cable to keep this from happening again. Thanks,

    Sticky Cable Clutch Mod. Driveline

Modern Driveline cable clutch setup for my T5 conversion. The last couple of weeks I've noticed that when I get in the car for the mandatory once a week cruise, the first time I press the clutch it is very tight & sticky, but only the first time I depress the clutch the pedal. After that it's...

    Water Mark Removal

What's the best way to remove the water spots after washing & drying your car? When I had my '05 in Mineral Grey, I didn't have that problem, but with the black paint on the '08, they stick out like sore thumbs. I use the MR. Clean system so I'm not left w/the white water spots, I chamois dry...

CAI vs Good HI Flow Filter

Call me a skeptic. But if the filter is exposed, I would think it would suck in more hot engine air than cold, since it stays darn hot in the engine compartment. At least in the box, it is isolated somewhat from the hot engine compartment air. I'm not really interested in hp numbers as I am...

CAI vs Good HI Flow Filter

Ok, my question is the following. Really, how much better is a CAI vs just getting a really good HiFlow(AEM, K&N, etc...) filter using the stock box? Looking at what Ford Racing offers, they just remove the box and stick on a cone type filter to the stock tube. Just curious. Thanks,

    Our Oil Situation

Stanmckinney get a life dude. Go check out the Alaska pipeline and see how the Caribou love it. Katrina & Rita plowed through the Gulf and wiped out many oil platforms. Guess what, no oil spills or leaks to speak of. We need to drill now and in the mean time work to develop alt. fuel...

    '68 A/C Questions

Got a few questions for the a/c guru's out in Stangnet land. After pulling a vacuum on the system to boil out any moisture, am I supposed to release the vacuum before I charge it up or leave the system under vacuum and then charge? I noticed that most of my air is blowing out of my floor...

    Evaporator Change in a '68?

How difficult of a job is this? I have the factory manual, but of course it is just a bunch of words with no picts. It would be nice to have a few picts to go with the procedure. Thanks,

    new car delima

Bullitt or Shelby Premium GT usually means leather and the upgraded wheels only. The only thing I don't like about the Bullitt is that there are no foglights in the grill, the thing looks like a V6. I don't see how the Shelby GT is cheaper than the Bullitt. Is the Shelby an '07 or '08?
