Trick Flow H/C/I installed- now idle problems!

I finally started my car up with the Trick Flow street heat H/C/I kit. It comes with the Twisted Wedge heads, stage 1 cam, and street heat intake. I'm also running 24lb injectors, 73mm C&L MAF, Kirban AFPR, stock throttle body, and 255lph fuel pump. When I first started the car, it barely idled...

    Throttle body/EGR install problem!

I have the TFS street heat intake, and yesterday I tried mounting the stock throttle body/EGR plate on it, and it kept rubbing against my Kirban AFPR. The silver canister in the back of the EGR plate is the problem, it sticks out too much. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions? If I buy an...

    Summit radiator problem

My H/C/I install is just about done, only real problem now is finding an upper and lower radiator hose that works with the Summit universal 31x19 two-core aluminum radiator. The inlets are too big to use the stock hose. I spent over an hour at Baxter's looking at all the different hoses trying...

Retorque head bolts after first drive?

My Trick Flow heads recommended 100lb-ft (after following the torqueing sequence) on the lower bolts, and 110lb-ft on the middle bolts. I doubt that you are supposed to tighten the bolts after driving it. I sure as hell am not. I think you should tighten the lower intake manifold bolts after...

What do you think of these rims?

They look pretty nice. They are basically '93 Cobra R wheels except silver instead of black. I think they look better on an 87-93 GT, but they still look great on your car! :nice:

MAC Fenderwell Cold Air Intake..Install Bracket?

No you do not need the bracket. The new intake tubing is sturdy enough to hold the MAF up on its own. Don't even worry about using the bracket.

Need help locating where to connect hose

Oh, well I removed the smog pump and plugged it in the back of the heads. Do I still need the vapor canister? How can I tell if its the solenoid? Thanks for all your help so far. Sorry I can't get you more information, the car isn't at my house, it's in my girlfriend's barn which is a pretty far...

    thermostat question

I bought the Motocraft replacement thermostat. It wasn't some cheap brand. It is OEM Ford. I find it strange that it didn't come with a bleeder valve. Oh well drilling a hole isn't that big of a deal

Any benefit of removing smog equipment?

Yes you can. The EGR stuff is completely seperate from the smog pump and air tube. The smog pump can be removed and you can reroute the belt, you will need to buy a shorter belt. I did this awhile ago when I got an offroad x-pipe. I'm just now plugging the back of the heads where the air tube...

Need help locating where to connect hose

To help clear things up, I am talking about the hose that is in the center of the pic and crosses over the AFPR's red vacuum line.

Need help locating where to connect hose

I was wondering if anyone can figure out what this hose is for and where it goes? The other end of the hose isn't connected to anything either. The black plastic and metal canister in the bottom of the pic is wired into the harness if that helps any. Any ideas? Thanks!

Pressure hose and Ford ac delete kit?

If you are referring to the power steering pressure hose, here is a pic of how mine is routed. You don't need to disconnect the hose, you simply move the power steering pump up to where the AC used to be. In the pic it looks like the hose blocks the pulley, but I can assure you it does not. Hope...

    thermostat question

I got a Motocraft 180* thermostat to replace the stock one, and I noticed that the new thermostat doesn't have a bleeder valve on the top like the stock one had. Is this going to cause any problems? I had a suggestion to drill a 1/8" hole in the new one (where the old thermo had a bleeder) so...

    Lubing clutch cable

My clutch cable is squeeking an awful lot and it is getting annoying. It squeeks when I depress the pedal. I'm pretty sure the cable needs to be lubed. Any idea how to do this? Thanks!

    noobie with a stock stang

How many miles are on your car? If you decide on the supercharger you should do a compression and maybe even a leak down test to make sure your motor is up for it. I would recommend getting a nice H/C/I first. Trick Flow makes a Street and Track kit for $2050 and $2100. It's a great bang for...
