600 cfm edelbrock carb. performer intake, e7 heads that might be ported, full exhaust. Elec fuel pump (ex cfi car) regulated to 6.5 psi. Timing was at 14 but i dropped it to 10 with little to no diff. After fixing the header should i try premium? i ususally run mid right now.
Well when i accel usually from 2000 to 3000 rpms i hear a ticking or rattling sound from the engine bay that i dont hear at any other times. I know i have a bad header leak on the passenger side but is it possible that i only hear it in the car under the cirumstances mentioned above?

Any input would be great!

Engine is an 85 non roller HO with edelbrock 600 cfm carb. What would be causing the car to start up fine but when i put it in drive it cuts out really bad for a few secs and then dies? Any help would be great.
So if i change the fluid i will have to change it a few times? Well i am not going to pay for that to be done a few times and dont have the time to do it myself. So one service wouldnt be sufficient? Better off just leaving the old fluid in?
