    ok thnaks for all the good info..soundes like the way to go is to find a mustang 8.8 with the gears i want..i already have 373's and want 4:10's if i were to leave the gears the same then ill just stick a cheap axle is my 7.5 temorarily ...still s ort of interested in more info a on ranger...

    hmmm not looking to do a 5 lug conversion... can i just stick some 4 lug axles in it? i could use my one good one out of my 7.5 since they use the same axles correct? and then i would just have to bye one..

    hey guys slammed into a curb sideways and BENT my driver side axle.. wich i didnt think was possible! thought they would snap and not bend...weird..i looked its definatly the axle not the wheel or anythnig ...soo what to do? new axle 92 bucks new threw summit... or get rid of the 7.5 wich will...

    i have decided just go go with the new dizzy since its only 44 bucks at autozone.. but i dont no if mine has a steel gear or cast iron how can i tell?? thanks alot.. p.s can i use either?

    "Sgarlic is right about a reman'd dizzy, especially if you notice excessive run-out with your existing one (run out can take out a PIP, and will likely take-out a new PIP). " what's run out?...and whats pip??? thanks fr your help everyone..

    hmm wait why is everyone saying i need to pull the gear..?? you dont have to do that.... i got the old one off... but there is a bearing around the shaftthat holds the pickup down.. looks liek it needs to be pounded slightly into the bottom of the around the shaft so that it holds the pickup...

    thanks a ton everyone hmm thanks adam .. car does nto need tune up... practically everything is brand new... usually fires right up like a brand new car! just has no since its been cold.. i live in monroe michigan ..very bottom right corner of michigan.. yes its cold.. and fired right up wen it...

    hmm got gas compression and spark .... anyone no anyting about that empty solonoid post... thats gotta be it! the one wit the minus symbol under it has nothing connected to it ...seems like it should!! i dont see anything that goes to it tho!

    update ok thnaks r code.. hmm ok engine is damn warm ..BUT i awas jsut looking closely at things...and noticed one of the posts on the solonoid is empty... te one on the right.. or .. the one nearest the back of engine bay its a post with a minus symbol under it.. im guessing somthing goes...

    errr ok... just heated the engine up good again and tried starting it no luck! i don't no what it could be!!!!! i have been messing withthe wiring the last couple days.. jsut unwrapping it from the oold electrical tape getting ready to redo it all .. i didnt disconnect anything :shrug: not on...

    no choke does not work ( or so im t old by my dad ) sorry im new.. but it usually starts right up wen not cold... and i heated it up to ware i thought it was plenty warm to fire up .., i had a space heater on a bench pointed towards the motor .. it seemed to warm it up good...but still no...
