hey everyone ..... hope im in the right section...so im in the middle of fixing the body on my 85 gt that im restoring.... i need new doors.. well atlest a new drivers side.. how hard is this to replace..i already put a new door inge on .. and tons of work into it .. i think ive finally come to the conclusion that i shold have just replaced it ... how hard is it to put a new one on ..putting a hinge on wasnt that bad cause fender was off..i dont really want to take it back off..if possible..anyways .. what can i get a new door from ? all 79 to 93..? my car does not have power windows or locks..just find a door with the same thing and put my door panel on it?.. how much would i expect to pay fora door from the junkyard..? o ya it is a hardtop.. thanks

Doors are easy, if you dont want to pull the fender just take out the plastic splash shield in the fender well and reach for the bolts. I gueaa availability of doors depends on your area, Im from michigan so i had to look a lil but i found 2 mint doors one i payed 125 with all the motors, glass, mirror, and interior trim panel. The other i payed 150 for a door shell.

All the internals will swap over, just have to drill out the rivets and move the parts. I swapped power stuff into my manual doors. Be careful with the power window, it is spring loaded. The 87-93 doors have different mirrors and window trim, so be aware that they won't match up with the quarter windows. They have rivets and extra holes that the 86 and earlier doors do not have, so they have to be welded up if using the 85 trim and mirrors.

Good luck!

hmmm ok... so what your saying is i should buy 86 and below doors..? i dont have acces to a welder... and i cant seem to find manual windows... so find pre 87 doors with power windows and it wont be to hard to switch them over?
