Do I have to remove the TFI to have it tested or can I just take my car down there? The car misses when it is cold and hot. It is pretty much a constant miss except at really low speeds. It I try to accelerate quickly I will usually get a big miss or cruisin` @ 70mph!
So I can get the codes pulled @ an auto parts store? I have to head up to advance after work anyways to get some codes pulled on friend's '97 Explorer will let them do the stang also. What does TFI stand for???
Thanks for the help!
I've put in new sparkplugs, MSD 8.5 wires w/ cap & rotor, MSD ignition coil, and still getting a bad miss. It happens all through the RPMs. I've checked the MAF and it is calibrated for the 24# injectors on the car so that wasn't the problem. Should I upgrade to the MSD ignition box? Where...
I recently got some a Mellow Tone mufflers installed on my fox and it sounds a lot quieter than a flowmaster but still very aggressive and muscle car sounding. I have gotten plenty of compliments on it.
I have a horrible shakey column, glad I did some searching before I posted a new thread. After work I'm going to take a gander at under there and see what I can find.
245/45/17 on a 17x9 rim will rub up front on a 1988 mustang! If you don't believe me drive to GA and look at my car. Guy at the shop said the rims are too wide for the car.

Around about what kind of HP/TQ it is putting at the crank and wheels? What would be a good guess for 1/4 mile times?
:jaw:
Does that matter if I've done a 5 lug conversion? I'm still on the stock 4 lug and I'll look into flipping the quad shocks. I'm getting these tires tomorrow and I might gamble and do the 255/40/17 up front with 275/40/17 in the rear.
I want a tire that will fit without modications. My car is dropped probably 1.5-2" so I was thinking still running 235/45/17 up front with 255/40/17 in the rear.
Right now the car has 235/45/17 on the front and 245/45/17 in the rear and I'm getting new tires at the end of this week. What is the widest tire I can get on the car without rubbing? The front/rear tires sizes don't have to match this is not a DD only a toy that gets driven on the weekends...
Looking to get my g/f a Digital Camera for Christmas. I'm not wanting to spend more than $200 TOPS! It has to use SD cards and 5+ MP please. The camera she has now takes forever to take another pic after it is trying to save one. Need one that processes the pics faster so she won't complain...
Still 70s here in Georgia. Not supposed to get the cold weather until late tonight and this weekend. I was kind of enjoying this weather besides all the rain!
I'm hoping to get some 1-piece headlights for Christmas from someone now I can't choose which would look best for me car. The black or the chrome...

Thanks for the help I will look into replacing the CAI A.S.A.P. with a fenderwell unit and see if that fixes the problem. Otherwise I guess I will start looking at the MAF again.
Since having the BBK CAI I'm NOT 100% sure if it is Mass Air or Speed Density. I'm going to guess that it has been swapped to Mass Air since I believe I see the Mass Air Flow Sensor near the cone filter on my motor...am I right???
If so how would I go about seeing if my MAF is calibrated for...
So how can you find out if your MAF is NOT calibrated to the injector size? I bought the car with the mods in my sig and noticed a spudder at highway speeds! Trying to get that fixed this weekend! Thanks for all the help!
I've been doing a lot of searching on this topic since my car has 24# injectors and is suffering from spuddering when I try to give it some gas. I've come to the conclusion that my MAF may not be calibrated for the bigger injectors. So I'm thinking about ordering the C&L unit which is...
