351W w/ TFS R, will valve covers fit?

i have to get new covers b/c i bought a whole new engine and am selling the old one complete. So if I'm getting new ones, i like the looks of the Ford ones. and I think they do offer the spacer for the trick flow. PS i don't think i can pull off slow with the TFS intake, polished...

351W w/ TFS R, will valve covers fit?

no, i've got some pro comps i think (210cc head comparable to the victor Jr i was told) i have a set of victor jrs, but the engine i bought came with these ported/polished, so i'll probably just leave them on there. are the TW heads higher or lower than victor jrs? don't know if i...

351W w/ TFS R, will valve covers fit?

yeah but i see guys running them on EFI cars. Now, they're all 302's with spacers, but I just don't know about the 5.8. Maybe clearance is better with the widder web?

    351 help

If you're on a budget, you can still find a nice 351W EFI intake for $450 or cheaper around here. I bought my TFS R for that and now there's a Victor 5.8 on here for $400 i believe. That would be too big for your setup i think, but my point is that if you just wait and surf all the stang...

    Quick Oil pan Q¿

i just found a guy with an 83 who had a manual trans, so maybe it will work, but he also said that it "(reqd slight pan/K member mods on my car)" i don't want to have to be bending stuff to make this thing fit!

    Quick Oil pan Q¿

so I'm about to buy this oil pan (canton 7qt 351W) and i haven't found a lot of info on it, but i did find this: #13-672SV Steel pan for 351W with 2 or 4 bolt rear main caps & 164 tooth flywheel auto. app. #13-672A Alum. pan for 351W SVO blocks with 2 or 4 bolt rear main caps & 164 tooth...

Just bought another fox... time for a 351/393 setup! tips wanted!

very interesting setup. but as i said, already got the TFS R EFI... the decisons that I'm running into are how to build this now to be able to afford it (engine costs under $4000-4500) and still be able to make improvements later (port heads, ad a power adder) because if put in the wrong...

Just bought another fox... time for a 351/393 setup! tips wanted!

not sure of the number off the top of my head. But I'll be sure to hit that up when i get home in three weeks. Um, well I've always worked with EFI, and I've gotten some great MPG from them (used to get 20-21 mpg in my 94 cobra). So i think in the long run its better to do EFI than carb...

    Post your GT pics

because if i keep the 94 car, I'll either have to spend the rest of my savings on the 93 to make it nice, or not modify either and have them both 'in need of work' they're both drivable, but i think its best if i start saving for retirement maybe? lol two cobras, a bike, and no savings...

Another which cam... w/ TFS R intake and vic jr heads

I've never had a custom cam. Do i just call someone and tell them all my other combo info and they make one for me? I've heard of a guy named Ed Curtis on here for years... but how do i actually get ahold of a custom cam maker?

Another which cam... w/ TFS R intake and vic jr heads

yeah the comp kits come in all sizes from high .400s to low .600's and since i'll need a whole valve train i figured it might be worth it to just buy the whole kit. I'll check into anderson. I've heard good things about them as well. anyone else?

Another which cam... w/ TFS R intake and vic jr heads

I was thinking that I'd need at least a mid to high .500" lift cam for my 393 build. I have the 75mm opening TFS R 351W intake, and victor jr heads so far... I was looking into the Comp cams full valvetrain kits since i'll need to convert to roller anyways. summit sells them for $750...

    Post your GT pics

i suck at uploading pics, but my first stang was an 89 GT black on silver with the red stripe. Sold it for cheap to buy a procharged 95 GTS in a hurry that proved to be on of the worst moves ever. I bought the 95 b/c that's the car i originally wanted, but in the year and a half that i'd had...

What is my complete 93 cobra engine worth?

So i just bought the 93 cobra with 205K miles that needs paint, seats and carpet. It already has a tremec and built rear end and sub frames, so I'm doing a 393 or 408 build for it... I'm thinking of selling the engine complete, TB to pan. What is is worth? It has the high miles, has never...

Just bought another fox... time for a 351/393 setup! tips wanted!

fairlane, don't worry about that! This car has 205K miles on the original motor, so it needs to be rebuilt anyways. And it has a tremec and a new rear end with a few other mods and needs paint, seats and carpet... so its far from those you see with 20K miles going for $15k on eBay. I knew...

Just bought another fox... time for a 351/393 setup! tips wanted!

I'm about to buy a TFS R intake for a 351W commiting me to the 408 build! So that makes TFS R intake, Victor Jr heads and 1.6 RRs so far... I'm gathering parts, but still need some more guidance. Anybody have an opinion or experience here?

Just bought another fox... time for a 351/393 setup! tips wanted!

I'm considering it b/c i think i can make more power with less money... but i just don't know if i want to do that. I've got the money to do EFI, so why not? The car will be driven on the street, have A/C etc. so i think EFI is the way to go. anyone else?
