Thank you - & I'll not rev it up. (think you were reading my mind there! hehe)

    Can I start the engine?

Without the clutch or trans in place? I'm finishing up the wiring for the EFI in my '66 and would like to verify that it runs good before I put the fenders back on & etc. Just shortening wiring and making it look pretty right now.

    License plate

Yeah, cops here in San Antonio I'm sure would not hesitate to get me for that. Shouldn't they go get 'bad guys' instead? Just curious - but how much was the ticket for? I'm not really looking to use double sided tape on the bumper... more of a stock style plate holder. Tell...

    License plate

Do you think it would look good mounted straight in the middle? I'm not liking the looks of being offset to the side as such. There's not a stock mounting plate I can get at the dealership or online? Honestly if I have a retractable plate like such, I probably would leave it down all the...

    License plate

I need to find a license plate holder for the California Special front bumper on my '05 GT. Here in TX it's required to have one, Im not sure how the previous owner got away without it, but I know San Antonio cops would pounce on the opportunity to pull me over for anything minute like that...

    My new ride!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the compliments and replies. I've fallen in love with this car already - it drives real smooth and girls notice it real good :) hehe . Hood pins are going to be on the "to do" list. Thank you for letting me know what front bumper it has, I enjoy the look, but not so...

    Insurance with a SC

+1 You need to check with your insurance company or agent. Every company has different Underwriting guidlines and will either just accept the receipt or most likely will increase the premium based on the additional equipment added to the veh. Sometimes if the additional equipment (rims...

    Quarter panel bodywork question..

I chipped away the cracked bondo in the surrounding area after sanding it a little and verified the metal was not cracked... looked slightly rusted. Also checked from the inside of the trunk and it looks solid, but hard to tell with the coating it has.

    Quarter panel bodywork question..

Yeah, my gut feeling is telling me to give it a shot to gain experience with it... but I'm on a time crunch so I need to plan for the quickest method. Last time I was at a collision center here in SA, TX I believe I saw shop rates at about $40-45/hr as stated by xoxbxfx. Granted that's not the...

'99 Mustang FUEL GAUGE issue - need help quick!

I was figuring the same thing after I tried bouncing the rear end up and down. Luckily, after about 130 miles into the 150 mile trip it started working again. In the backroads there's two "S" turns that have about a 30° bank on each curve, after the second "S" turn the fuel gauge went to...

'99 Mustang FUEL GAUGE issue - need help quick!

LOL - i was tempted to do just that! :D I'll try to reset ECU and see if that helps, I get out of work in about 1 hour 15 mins. Anything else to try in case that doesn't work? I gotta hit the road ASAP after work though.

'99 Mustang FUEL GAUGE issue - need help quick!

Hello, I'm having an issue with the fuel gauge on my '99 Mustang GT. It's been working fine until I just went to the gas station, with the needle of the gauge in line with the red line for E and my low fuel light on. I usually don't let it get this low before refueling. Anyhow I fill the...

    Quarter panel bodywork question..

My EFI '66 Mustang will be road worthy here in a week or two and the next big project will be paint. The car seems to be smooth enough for me to prep for painting myself except both quarter panels. If it will save me alot of time without costing an arm and a leg I would like to have a bodyshop...

    EFI AMP question

Right on, thanks for the help. I have a holley high flow fuel pump (external) so I'll plan on the 30amps... No big stereo, just 12x9's in rear and Pioneer deck...

    EFI AMP question

How many amps does the EFI engine (stock) require to run properly. I haven't upgraded my alternator yet, due to funds, and I'm curious if I can even drive it around for a test run with this low amp alt. I'm not exactly sure of the amps but it's a GM alt put on by the previous owner. I had to...

    fuel line part needed..

Does anyone know what the part # is for the return fuel line piece that has the quick connect on each end? Is this something I can get from Advance or Autozone? Indicated with the red arrows... this is for 89' to 93' type EFI engine which is in my '66 Stang. Thanks! :)
