what would give the engin less beating?

For easiness, and seeing that money isn't much of an issure here. I would go with a built short block, w/ low compression, slap on a 14 psi Kenne Bell. And definetly upgrade the suspension. TKO is the way to go for the tranny. You would be kick the Sh&t out of 12 sec.

    Stupid Question About Tires

They are just part of the molding process. They allow air to escape and ensure a full pour. I use to work in a ductile iron plant and it is the same concept. Tires are made it layers so they probably double as something for the machine to hold onto when putting layers together also. :D

    Cold Air Intake?

I just did some test for trouble shooting my Kenne Bell and the results shocked me. I had an inner fenderwall CAI and the intake under the supercharger was 167 deg at 5000 rpms. I put the stock air box on and pulled the snorkel out and took some more reading. I had 167 deg. at 5000 rpms. The...

Aftermarket shifter on a daily driver?

My car is a daily driver and I love the Steeda Tri-ax. It has really smoothed out since I first got it. I think it is much more comfortable than stock, and if noise is going to be an issue, put some rubber like some guys have done, Hell I bet you could use the huge rubber spacer off the stock...

WTF is a "Advanced Timing Resistor"??? Check this out....shed some light.

I hope that everyone know our cars have variable timing when at full operating temperature (>120deg. it the goes to open loop). By tricking your IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor, our car will advance the timing because of the cooler air available. This can be dangerous w/ a supercharger or...

    All Season Performance Tires.

I would imagine with the way the tread pattern is and the softness of the tire that these will do fairly well in the snow. Our cars such in the snow, I don't car what any body says. I grew up in the upper penninsula of Michigan and seen/driven in deep snow, but I have driven nothing that...

    finally made up my mind

Not trying to change your mind or anything, but when you are not into it the KB is just sitting there quietly. It is not until you get into the throttle that it unleashes a horrific whine and gobs of torque. :hail2: :worship:

    All Season Performance Tires.

I also have the KDWS's, I love there dry handling capabities, they handle 200X better in the rain than stock (that doesn't say much though). I have not had them in snow either, I have had them for about 3 months, they are quiet and ride nice. One of the main reasons was the price, I had my...

    Why buy a cooler thermostat?

People claim that running a colder thermostat can do damage because of accelerated cylinder wear. A guy once made this argument with me and I asked him why the cylinder wear, he says that because of the lower temperatures the cyliders are smaller (he is correct about lower temperatures and...

    Battery disconnect

Yeah, but I would make sure that the connection is big enough. I have seen dissonnects that simply make the line in two. It it basically two plates held together by a wingnut ( on negative side though so you don't have to worry about shorts). I know when you are dealing with outlet power (in...
