    Gas pedal

I will check... I need to check and see if there is even a spring there.. Kind of hard to describe but the pedal is just "hangin" there now. Lots of slop doesn't feel right. If the spring is missing or loose it would be a cheap/easy fix!! Scott

    Gas pedal

In my 65 fastback the gas pedal just kind of flops around...(be nice) I was wondering if there was some kind of a tension type spring that would eliminate this problem? Perhaps I am missing some parts or they are worn out? It just doesn't seem right the way it is now...

    clear turn signal lenses

Krash, You are correct. I just found a set from Mustangs unlimited. They will be here in 3 days. FYI. I am going to use amber bulbs behind these lenses. IMHO the white lenses look much better and cleaner than the amber lenses with most paint colors. Thanks, Scott

    clear turn signal lenses

I am looking for a pair of clear front turn signal lenses for my 65 Fastback. I ordered a set from CJ Pony. They sent me the amber bulbs and the invoice stated that the lenses were backordered. I called them and they told me that they do not currently have a vendor to supply this part. So they...

    Tilt steering

Damn.. It would have been nice if Flaming River would have shared this potential problem with me up front! The current steering wheel is a 14" wheel. And it hits the dash pad in the full up tilt position. I like the feel of the current location so I really do not want to move the steering...

Forgot to put stabil in gas tank this year.

IN my opinion the best way to resolve your concerns (maybe it is not necessary but you will probably sleep better)is to pour the appropriate amount of Stabil into your fuel tank and start the car up. Let it run until the engine temp gets up to normal operating levels and the Stabil has a...

    Tilt steering

I have a Flaming River tilt steering column installed in my 65 Fastback. When the wheel is tilted in the highest up position it hits the dashpad.. I called Flaming River and they told me that this is possible with certain steering wheels!! I have a Momo steering wheel (new). So I guess I...

    max rpm

I have a new FRPP 347c.i./450hp crate engine in my 65 fastback. No where in the literature provided by FRPP does it mention a max RPM. I have an MSD box installed and I would like to know which "pill" to install for the rev limiter. I really don't want to grenade this thing...

    65 Fastback project

Thanks Thank you for the responses. My builder agreed with my concerns and he is replacing the gas tank at no charge :) Scott p.s. I am going next Tuesday (flying 500 miles away) to go check out the car. Hopefully Quicksilver will be home in my garage in the very...

Need pics of 65-66 Fastbacks with upper side scoops

I tried to talk my builder into swapping out the factory Silent Flow vents for the Shelby windows. I figured that would help out the poor visibility issue somewhat. He strongly discouraged this as these vents do a great job of allowing air (etc.) to move thru the interior of the car. I am...

MIDWEST: why are we THE BEST?

I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I really like it here. The people are laid back. The schools are great. Housing cost are really low (relative to east/west coast and big cities) No traffic. No emissions testing. My only complaint is the weather in the Winter. My solution to that is that I...

MIDWEST: why are we THE BEST?

With the money we save from our low cost of living here in the midwest we can afford to go to warm places in the Winter. As for big cities.. I have lived in big cities in the past and I will NEVER go back.. Traffic, rude people, traffic, everything is overpriced, traffic, rat race YUK! I...

    emergency flashers

Finishing up my car. Did the 65 mustangs come with 4 way emergency flashers? If so was this standard or an option? I thought that I had heard/seen a switch installed in the glovebox. (This is for a restomodded car. Flaming River tilt column if that matters)...
