max rpm

I have a new FRPP 347c.i./450hp crate engine in my 65 fastback.
No where in the literature provided by FRPP does it mention a max RPM.
I have an MSD box installed and I would like to know which "pill" to install for the rev limiter. I really don't want to grenade this thing.

i would go arond 62-65 just to be safe.
heres my shifting range, mind you i have a stock rotating assembly:

5k; when im racing hondas
5500; anything else that poses a slightly larger threat
5900; at teh strip

yeah,62-6500 sounds about rite.I would go to the dealer where you ordered it and ask for some stats on the motor..how much did you pay for the motor?

I purchased the crate engine from Sean Hyland Motorsports.
I paid $6700.

what you do is get a dyno graph, and see where your torque/hp curve ends, that's hwere you set it because anything after the curve is worthless, and you should already be in the next gear anyway!!!
