    Strange whissle (engine guys get in here)

    Same issue here. I have founf that it is just the air passing through the throttle body and intake. It bothered me at first but now it dosn't bother me, kinda like it now. I wouldnt worry. Unless its a vacume leak. Spray some throttle boddy cleaner around to check for leaks.

    Well the timing is set at 16 with the spout out if I drop it down to about 8 it will struggle to start and will with the pedel to the floor it starts some times. Its not the TFI module eithergot a new one and same thing :doh: . It smells like raw fuel when it wont start :scratch:

    Plugs look fine a little carbon on then nothing spectacular. They are gaped correctly also. I'm going to auto zone to get a tfi module to try that

    OK I just got it started. I had to hold the gas down and decrese the timing to 8 then it studdered and then started. I drove it around the block a few times and then parked it and now it wont start again.

    When the motor is cold it starts right away. when its hot it just cranks. I have tried with the throttle in every position. I have about 35lb of fuel pressure. At one point i brought the timing from 15 to about 8 and it stuttered alot and then started but it ran like crap. I moved the timing...

    Today my dad took out 6 pluggs and he said that it turned over alot easier. So looks like I need a high tourque starter. By the way a few years back the heads got warped and then milled so im sure the compression is a little high. Any suggestions on a starter? Where to get it from? Thanks

    I did try jumping it and I tried a charger on start. it cranks maybe .5 per second. it struggles mainly at one part in the revolution. Seems like it still struggles the rest of the way but not as much as that one point.

    Oh also I re-did the grounds the neg battery goes to a oil pan bolt and I put the strap on the back of the bell housing to the firewall. Still didn't start
