    shoot, i got my hopes up. I doubt you can get a 03 cobra motor assembly for what I have to spend (the install would be done myself, to save money, but still probably wont be enough. Proabably might as well by the cammer for that money, which i dont have!!!) but we can always dream... the 5.4...

    oh, cliffs notes... should I get a 4.6stroked 5.0 long block from dss, get a 5.4L navi motor from ford racing or the 2000 complete cobra assembly (motor, trans, exhaust all included)from ford racing, all cost about the same, oh and I think im gonna keep the minivan as a daily driver...

    ive got access to a mig welder and some good experience, could you just cut some length off of the x pipe? or could some muffler shop make the approriate cuts/welds? and with the work done, would the welding screw up the exhaust flow (enough to make a difference?)

Its kind of too late to order the powdercoated ones but I guess I could find a shop in my area that could do it (i didnt want black, red would be nice) anyone have suggestions on what they used?     thanks for the input adrock! How clean are you talking?? And will I have to grind off any sounddeadener? I will have an experienced welder on hand to supervise, but I am trying to learn by doing all of my installs myself (have to learn sometime.)

    I just ordered a set of MM full length subframe connectors (not powdercoated) and I was curious, did I just waste my money? My mustang cracks and pops quite often, and from what I understand a stiffer chassis is ALWAYS better, and the unibody chassis is not very sturdy (from my understanding)...
