Longtube headers with o/r x and magnapacks...

Hey guys, im at my wits end here. I am dying for a set of longtube headers, but do not want to give up my magnaflow x pipe and magnapack combo, I paid alot for them and damnit I would just think it was a waste. Anyways, what can I do to keep the combo and top it all off with a set of longtubes?

thats why i always make sure i go all out and do things right the fist time because you'll end up costing yourself more money later. You could custom fab up your X now to the headers, just some cutting, welding, and probably a lil bending. or if that is too much just buy a shorty o/r X to match your LT's.

My friend has the Kooks longtubes with their x pipe and magnaflow exhaust. At high RPMs, that car screams!

ive got access to a mig welder and some good experience, could you just cut some length off of the x pipe? or could some muffler shop make the approriate cuts/welds? and with the work done, would the welding screw up the exhaust flow (enough to make a difference?)

yeah, i paid a s##t load for that o/r x pipe (at least a S.L. for me, i have a hard enough time saving up money...)

you could cut some off and weld the collectors back on but it would be pretty hard to match it to your headers. just buy a shorty and sell your X and you'll bite a lil cash but it will be worth it.Someone will buy it on stangnet.

I just ordered a set of Flowtech headers and matching X-pipe, and I happier than hell with them. The quality is actually really good, same design as my friend's Hookers and they cost me about 50% less. For the price, you might want to explore this as an option.
