    T-Bird rearend

A buddy of mine is trying to talk me into converting my 8 inch rearend to a T-Bird independent rearend. Has anyone ever attempted this? Will it work? How difficult is it? Thanks

    RestoMod Q

I'm converting my 289 to a 5.0 and I have read that it is best to go with the Mass flow setup over the speed density setup. I don't know much about the later Mustangs, so how can I tell the difference between the two? Thanks

    OK - Friday I'm ordering a Randall's Rack

flaming River I think Flaming River and Randall's Rack are simillarly priced, but with FR you get tilt steering.

how to convert drums to disc

brakes I know that you are trying to save money, but sometimes when you do the Granada swap you end up spending nearly as much as a kit would cost. Check with Master Power brakes. I got a complete power disc setup for appx $800.00 It's a good setup too. Good Luck

    Donor Cars

Donor Thanks for all the info. I'll start checking on the lincoln. BTW, will the 8.8 rearend fit the 65, or will it have to be narrowed? Kent

    Donor Cars

I'm looking for a donor car with an AOD and a 5.0 for my 65 Coupe. I've noticed that Fox Mustangs are hard to find. Can anyone tell me how the drivetrain from a Crown Vic or a Grand Marquis would work out. You can find them all day long for reasonable prices. Are there any differences in the...

    Valve size help

I have a 65 "Lo-Po" 289 in it and I was wondering what the stock valve sizes are in this engine. Also, does anyone have any experiences with Power Heads, out of CA? Do they sell a good product? Thanks

    Brake conversion kits

Brakes I bought a set from Master Power. The conversion is very simple. I paid less for a power front disc brake setup from them than I would have paid for a manual setup from SSBC or Baer. Good luck

    AOD in a 65

I'm "resto-moding" my 65 coupe. I was interested in swapping over to an AOD. The car currently has a C4. My questions are: should I keep the C4, I heard that there is an OD kit for it; should I go AOD; will the AOD fit the tunnel; will headers clear it; what all would I need to do the swap...

    Rack and Pinion

Info Thanks for the info. I checked out the site and it looks like the swap may not work with a 65. It's a good place to start though. Kent

    Rack and Pinion

R&P Thanks for the info. I'm leaning toward FR, but not until they solve the header riddle. Also I heard that Steeroids was working on a kit. Does anyone know anything about this company? Kent

For all you "Original" car keepers out there.

Do what ever you feel like. Chances are that by keeping it "original", you won't get anymore for it when you sell and you won't have as much fun. If it was a Shelby or an early boss I would say "keep it stock".

    Wilwood vs. SSBC

Brakes Anyone interested in converting to discs should consider Master Power. They have, in my opinion good stuff and the prices are good. I got a power disc swap kit for my 65 V8 coupe for less than I could have gotten a manual setup from SSBC or Wilwood. They also offer manual setups too...

    Rack and Pinion

I want to put R&P on my 65 V8. I already have MasterPower disc brakes on it, so I don't want to go MustangII. I have heard of Tempo and Taurus swaps. Does anyone know what I need to have, and do to use one of these Rack and Pinion systems? Thanks, Kent

Total Control Products, where to buy?

TCP I've heard that TCP was hard to get in touch with. I checked into Flaming River and they were helpful. Their kit is about the same price, plus you get tilt with theirs. Steeroids is also coming out with an R&P kit this summer, don't know what the price will be, but from what I can tell...
