Need help finding a performance 10" clutch for the II

Ok this is my new list of clutch brands + part numbers for the II. Centerforce: DF490018 Ram: 98501 SPEC: SF093 McLeod: 260836, 360018, 360018 I'm not sure what's included with which, I think Centerforce needs a throwout bearing, dunno about Ram or SPEC, and the 3 McLeod #s are...

Hmm yeah, Summit does carry that one.. too bad it doesn't give much info about it. Edit: Did some googling. http://www.sdpc2000.com/catalog/3179/products/149482/1976-79-50L-Mustang-Powergrip-Clutch-Set-10-1-1-16x10.htm Summit...

Need help finding a performance 10" clutch for the II

I think the 3 I posted should work, because on Centerforce's site, the '76-78 302 Mustang II clutch says this: DF490018 1976. - 1978. 5.0L 302 ENG. 10" 1-1/16-10 And the 3 I'm looking at are 10" clutches, 1 1/16 input shaft diameter, and 10 input spline quantity. Edit: SPEC also...

Need help finding a performance 10" clutch for the II

I had ordered one from Summit, it wouldn't ship till the end of July, and now I got a letter saying it was cancelled, cause they couldn't get it from Centerforce. It was the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch: CTF-DF490018 I need a 10" clutch, and I'd prefer it to be a higher performance one...

Anyone have a spare gas tank / fuel tank?

Hm that's a good idea. I may still drop my tank to add a fitting for a return line for my fuel pump, help it run a little smoother/cooler. I bet I could fit it where my spare tire should go, that gets no use.

No new bests tonight, but I toasted my clutch! (pic + vid)

Yeah that thing's done for, I was able to drive it home though. My only 60' was a 1.763, and the LR didn't even spin during the burnout. I ran a 12.727 @ 107.39 My dad did a 12.819 @ 107.08 with a 1.886 60' Then I went to make my 2nd pass, the cars 3rd pass, brakes wouldn't hold my...

Anyone have a spare gas tank / fuel tank?

Whatever you call it. :D I was hoping that someone may have a spare so I could work on one while I still use my car. I'm trying to find one to modify to add a return line on it for when I run more nitrous and stuff. Thanks for any leads for one. :)

Wheels-Tires Wheel/tire Combos Known To Fit

Well, one that is proven is 245/60/14.. they aren't too bad. Other than that I haven't found a better 14" tire that's actually retrievable. I get traction from 2nd on with it, so I'm pretty happy. I am using the BFG Radial TAs.

do you have any idea how hard it is to stop a speeding II with stock wheels?

Don't expect to get much sympathy from anyone... going 115 is stupid.. and someone pulling out in front of you hints that this wasn't even on a highway. Don't get yourself in trouble.

Pics of my car in dragracing trim

I can't tell you how it feels with the skinnies, I haven't driven it with them on.. I also need to replace the tires, one is pretty much bald on a side. No spacers, I believe 10hole and turbine wheels are 15x7 with a 4.875" backspacing.. I may be wrong and 1badII has it dead on, I dunno...

Pics of my car in dragracing trim

Wheels/tires: Rears are 15x8 4.5" BS, with 28x9x15 Hoosier slicks.. I recommend going with 26 inch tall slicks, 28 required a lot of work. Front wheels are odd, I measured them, then looked at Summit's website, and I can't find the matching set. I believe they are 15x4 with a 1 1/2"...
