    Engine question for my notch....

    The 427 inch displacement itself isn't that much more potent than the 408. It's pretty much just saying you have a 427 under the hood and people get excited. Plus I'm pretty sure getting that block to 427 cubes is a little detrimental to its durability.

    General/average cost to rebuild a T5?

    I paid alot and I regret it. With me pulling the trans myself, it was 1100 for new 2nd and third gear, input shaft, the whole rebuilt kit, and upgraded bearings and synchros. I'll learn next time.
