Gents,

I bought the slid dual fan setup from Mishimoto awhile back and am finally getting around to installing it. It covers the entire surface area of my radiator, one problem, you can't mount the coolant reservoir back on the radiator because the electric fan width blocks it. My question is, where should I relocate it? Or is there something I missed? No directions came with it and I searched for a while with no luck. Thanks.

in the same boat!

my ss overflow tank should be here any day now, and im going to be looking for a new spot to locate it as well... as soon as i get it figured out ill let you know, and post some pics, if you dont get it figured out by then. im pretty sure you cant use the same tank with this setup...

Some ideas...

The overflow tank is all PVC pipe from Home Depot. The overflow cap is also from Home Depot.

Tough to see in this pic, but I have the $10 summit black bottle. Simple swap the fittings and it's a recirculating bottle. I bolted it to my fan shroud and ran the line under to the overflow

Hey Mike,

Explain recirculating vs just a single line to the bottle?

Also, where's your strut tower brace?

Well, the summit bottle is a puke bottle. Coolant dumps in the top and you drain it from the bottom manually. I swapped then fittings so the coolant line goes into the bottom like stock. That way coolant flows in, and then back out through the bottom into the rad again.

Sold my unknown brand strut tower brace a while back....gonna pick up a max motorsports brace for Xmas :nice:

im also running the summit bottle but mines plumbed up still as a puke tank. im going to re plumb it up this winter to feed from the bottom with a T inline with a ball valve so i can keep the drain

I wonder if there is an OEM option from another brand? Subaru? Honda? Any other cars with cramped engine compartments? Summit's black bottle seems decent, but I would like to know what the volume of fluid is and how much is in the bottle.

the larger bottle has a external sight level. we run this one in the race car. i belive its 1.5 qt where as the small one i run in my street car is a 1qt

Yes, 1.5 quart and 1 quart is the volume. The larger one has a sight tube on the side to see the level.

I've been fine with the bottle with no sight. Easy to see the level from the top, but i can understand wanting to have some window or something
