    adapters, yes they do make things ez. (1) lokar cable (2) lokar throttle/aod cable bracket (holds carb end of aod cable, and throttle cable if you use a lokar one) (3) throttle blade adapter for holley (relocates tv pin on throttle blade) good luck.

    use mobile 1 synthetic dextron atf and buy a shifter with built in stops to protect a t5 properly. imho.

    wheel locks be very careful with giving the car for inspection/service when wheel locks are used. most a$$hat mechanics will use the impact on the keys and break them then call and say they cant get your wheel off! snap-on sells a tool to remove them when they are turned into junk....wonder how...

    what are these wires for?

    thanks. the reverse light does indeed come thru at the shifter. so that leaves two pigtails on the firewall the grey plug with the red/grey wires are for the neutral safety switch, the other must be a redundant reverse for stick shifts. cool thanks again.

    what are these wires for?

    The 2 wires going thru the trans tunnel behind the auto floor shifter. doing an aod swap on the 66 and need to hook up the reverse lights/neutral safety, i thought the pigtail for those came out of the firewall though. any clairification would be appreciated.

    i ran out of the lube that came with them but it looked like dieletric tune up grease so that is what i used to finish it up. no issues here with ~5000 miles over 2 seasons.

    the rear sits lower on mine, never measured, looks ok to me though. i am running mid eye 5 leaf with poly bushings. no squeaking issues with mine.

    aod shift lever orientation

    I plan on using the stock 66 shifter with the AOD. Is the gear selection lever on the trans supposed to point up when doing this conversion? Also what position would park be on that lever, fully rotated clockwise or counterclockwise? I have very limited space with lt headers if the lever needs...

    good wires and some dynomax should be on your list too. i placed a head in the glove box and it only gets turned on when its parked:D i cruise with the windows down and dont really need more noise coming from speakers, if your running a/c you may get some more use out of it than i do.
