    front end not even

H&R Super Sports not even after drop? Hi all... I recently installed H&R Super Sports up front with new MM caster/camber plates and urethane spring isolators. For whatever reason, the front passenger-side fender is a half-inch higher than the driver-side fender. What could be the...

lowered car...what camber setting are you using?

What shop did you take your Stang to that had that nice alignment display (your photo). OK, let's say I go with MM's camber setting recommendation. My next question deals with their toe recommendation - it seems agressive. They suggest setting the toe at 0.5 degrees toe-in. That's a lot...

H&R SS Springs on! Eibach Prokit off! reviews/comparisons PIX DUW!

I just installed H&R Super Sports on my GT over the weekend and the drop looks the same - awesome! The gap around the front is perfect and the slightly higher stance in the back just makes it look mean. Now, I need to get my alignment done so I can put my chrome Cobra R's back on the Stang and...

lowered car...what camber setting are you using?

I just lowered my Stang with H&R Super Sports, installed MM C/C plates and I'm getting ready to take it in for an alignment. I see that MM recommends -0.5 for camber. Ford set my stock ride at -1.1 degrees. Should I have the shop set it at -1 or should I use the MM -0.5? I'm strongly...

    Spring Isolators

"Prothane" is a company that makes urethane bushings, isolators, etc. I believe that is the same brand Maximum Motorsports sells. http://www.prothane.com/ Well, they're on the car. The stock isolators were crap and I'm glad I replaced them. I'm waiting on the springs to settle for a...

    MM C/C Plates Spacers ???

I know that this is an older thread, but this is exactly what I did...one thin under and the rest on top. I must say that it looks odd having the strut shafte stick that far out of the top of the tower. I ended up using a aluminum foil ball (instead of putty) to check for hood clearance and...

quick & easy question...install in a couple hours

I'm lowering my car and I'm installing new spring isolators while I have it torn apart. Do I need to grease the isolators? If so, do I just grease the spring contact points, the body and control arm contact points or poth? Thanks!!

    Camber Bolts

I understand that caster is not adjustable in the stock setup, nor is it with the camber bolt, or it would be called a caster-camber bolt :D My question is more geared towards what caster reading/setting are people getting after dropping the car with the stock plates. Basic geometry shows...

    Camber Bolts

I'm getting ready to drop my '00 GT with some H&R SuperSports. If you have used camber bolts after dropping your car, what was your caster setting...especially if you have the SuperSports or Eibach's sportlines? I'm really struggling over whether I should spend the extra $ for the C/C...

    front suspension redommendation

OK, I'm tired of looking at my H&R SuperSports sitting in the box on my workbench. I finally have the ok to buy something else (you married folks understand). So, here are my choices... 1. Buy shocks/struts now and purchase camber bolts to take care of the alignment (never buy C/C plates)...

    Installing Cast & Camber Plates

Even though this isn't Steeda, I suggest reading this: MM Caster / Camber plate installation It's the how-to, what, and why to installing Maximum Motorsports plates, which are essentially the same thing. I'm about to do the same work (different parts). After talking with MM techs...

I'll try again!!! 5.4 (mod, no 331 pushrod strokers)

I've been thinking of doing this for some time and I'm putting '00 GT up for sale this week, so I can get a classic and do something like this. I'm in no big hurry, so I'll be doing a lot of research over the next year or two before I jump in. Good luck to you and keep us informed. I'll be...

Y2k Cobra R offset too wide for front

I have the 2000 Cobra R's on my GT with 275/35/18 Nittos on them and I know what you're talking about. They do stick out a little up front, maybe half an inch. I was a little unhappy when I first saw this on the stock suspension, but I think that it will look fine after I lower it and make...
