    any idea what you will need to yank out the bushing in that scenario? FWIW....I have had an alumn drive shaft in it & it made no diffrence (borrowed a friends to see if it was a DS issue)

    Windows are flopping around on the tracks..

    I finally got this 86 T-top up & running & tried rolling down the windows... They go down fine, but coming back up they get cocked & stuck. The only way to get them up is to guide them back up with your hand. Does anyone know how you fix it? Thanks Mike

    Easiest is a local dealer but also brothers perfomance warehouse stocks them. Check out chambers racing web site to figure out what's the correct speedo gear you'll need. It even gives you the ford part #. mike

    Well there is one screw at the apex of each wheel well. There is also a screw at the rear base of the fender. There is a bolt (on mine it was a bolt) holding on the front half of it. There were also some of those plastic push pin thing , 2 per side I believe.

    The mass air CAI are shorter B/c the mass air meter takes up about 6-7" worth of length in the tube. Speed density cars require a longer induction tube.

    Good but quiet exhaust

    Well with edelbrock heads a steeda cam holley intake & all the little BS parts.... I ran Mac shorties into a stock H pipe with Hooker Max Flow mufflers. Best thing I can really say it sounded like is an Audi at WOT.

    Excessive camshaft endplay

    The timing chain & the cam itself sandwich the thrust plate. If there is too much play then you may want to buy a new thrust plate. So far though sounds like your checking end play without the timing gear on. If the timing gear isn't on it will move quite dramatically.

    I made an adaptor to hook up those pressurized can's of injector cleaners, but I loaned it out & never got it back.

    Problem on the new 86

    Ah CRAP! You think it's possible to cut out the mangled part & weld in the new panel so it's straight? IE cut around the windshield base & around the hood line on both cars. Weld grind & smooth... Shouldn't affect anything else I woulding think. Thanks Rick:)

    Apparently the must have flown up & cracked the windshield at some point... there is new glass in it but the cowl is all screwed up. I laid the cowl grill cover over & I can slid my fingers under it! :damnit: Does the winshield need to come out to replace this sheet metal? I have my old 86...
