    understood, but if I were to use different pistons to raise the compression (still with pump gas) while using the same heads, I should end up with a little more power, correct? I'd probably want to change out the CAM also. I don't think the rebuild will see boost at all.

    TKO 500 upgrade to 26 spline input shaft?

    I've got a line on a shaft with roller bearings and steel bearing retainer. I know the 10 spline shaft is 1 1/16 and the 26 spline is 1 1/8 but not sure if all the additional parts are size specific. Can the parts from a 10 spline input shaft be used when upgrading to a 26 spline shaft? TIA, Dan

    Wiring Issues

    is the casing for your light selector switch broken? Mine would wiggle around a little and would prevent me from fully engaging the switch for the headlights. If you pull the lower lever out with your middle finger you can push the upper lever in with your thumb.

    check the speedo cable, right below where it connects to the trans. Put some silicone or gasket sealer right where the metal is crimped to the rubber sheath. Most likely that connection has separated a little and it's letting some trans fluid leak down the cable where it gets caught by the wind...

    Man, I wish it was that easy! I know I shift like grandma, but I don't know of any other way to do it. I tried to power shift once but I was peggin the rev limiter and really didn't like it.
