    Dynomax VT

From email from Dynomax: The new VT muffler will be a self adjusting flow depending on the psi, or exhaust flow at any specific drive cycle. This muffler will have a open valve at the higher rpm ranges allowing for a free flowing system, but at the lower rpm's the valve will be more closed...

    AOD

Just got the car back from the garage after AOD swap. Everything works fine except that it takes 1. gear too long to shift to 2, so I promised mechanic to post you guys to get some ideas. 1. gear - doesn't shift before you really push accellerator 2. gear . switches to quickly into 3.

    Buying AOD from ebay

I found two vendors on ebay that seem serious. Since I am sitting on the other side of the earth, I need to ensure that I get it right. What should I tell/ask sellar ?? 1. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350351792319&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT...

Change rear gear ratio when converting to AOD

I have ordered a AOD that will replace my C4. I do this because I felt that rpm was too high at 6-70 mph. (I have 3.00 ratio at rear) Wich rear ratio should I install in connection with the AOD ? I need balance between good acceleration and relaxing highway driving. Recommandation?

    Overdrive for C4

Thanks for nteresting input. Using GV I can't sell my newley rebuild C4, so getting a AOD I could sell C4 and the hole deal would be cheaper.

    Overdrive for C4

As I live in Norway, AODs are hard to find. Yes, Gearvendor kits are available here, but they are expencive and offer more bells and whistles that I need. There is a guy up north that is offering me a used AOD at a reasonable price, but how can I be sure it will fit? Are there any codes...

Engine running too cool after installing fat shroud

Well, as mentioned earlier, one problem is thaat the fan runs all the time! So, we will first try to change to a stock shroud (which will let cold air in from the sides as well as hot air from rad) in order to give the fan clutch the right temperature. The hotter thermostate idea we keep for...

Anyone knows anything about adding a unit to existing C4 ?

Engine running too cool after installing fat shroud

Yes, it is that one. I am starting to think that the deep shroud fools the clutch to engage when it shouldn't by only letting in air through radiator (the orignial shroud had opening on sides). I also have tried two Thermal clutches from different sources (Summit and Haydn), but they look the same.

Engine running too cool after installing fat shroud

I replaced electric fan with clutch fan after experiencing cooling issues. Just to be sure, I installed an aftermarket "fat" shroud. Now the engine only gains 1/4 on the temp gauge. What causes this? Should I get a stock shroud that lets air in from the sides?
