    I have an iron/steel weld in female 1/2" NT fitting welded in two the side of my filler neck on same bulkhead area. then I have a 1/2" NPT to -8AN fitting and run SS line but the location should be fine.

    the vent tube fitting on the tank is a check valve. It may be stuck closed and not letting it vent enough. the down side is you would have to drop tank again to get to it as it is on top of tank.

    Tilt in a '91?

    I installed a 89 dash in my 90 including the tilt column. as long as you replace everything complete then it fits no problem. Everything mounts the same. The priest collar looks fine I think. i will try to get a picture but dont hold your breath Im horrible about getting the pics uploaded.

    slack in timing chain

    if you have had the block align bored you may need to get undersized chain as well. ling boring can move the cam center to crank center distance a hair. I am running a .005 under chain.

    what cleans

    we used brake clean or simple green if there is lots of grease/oil then soaking might be an option. then you may want to get some aluminum cleaner/brightner cause after you clean it it will look pretty dull but still better then grease.

    yeah i would runt he 77 series over the P series. Just preference though. i believe the P series bearing would work fine as well.
