t-5 or c4?

i have a dilema, my t-5 setup needs an adjustable clutch cable and quadrent.. my stock stuff wont alow the car to go into gear while running. my buddy will trade me his c4 with a 3800 stall for my t-5 and peddle assembly as well as my clutch.
is this a good trade.?. i love the 5 speed but i plan on racing this car on the weekends at my local track. so im looking for consistancy in the 1/4. here is my setup what do u guys think, i want to make sure a 3800 stall converter is big enough for what i have.. and i **** u not last night i hooked my 8 grand tach up and the car will barry it on a free rev.. i still dont know where my power is at.

need cam info...Im running a cam that makes power between 3400-7200 rpm and I have a 3800-4000rpm stall on a c4. Not sure what true stall is until I get it out on the trans brake but should do the trick..
