    The SN65 project car

WOW that answered a question for me. thats the exact same color i painter my capri a few years back. later i put a different hood on it and couldnt remember the exact color name(knew it had saphire in its name) or what it came off of. so i had them sample the old color to match it up. it came up...

need advise; power range at about 5000 RPM

well technically speaking on a mass air system its called a barometric pressure sensor. electronically its the same as a map sensor, only difference is that the map sensor has a vacuume hose hookup where the baro has a little filter. if the vacuum line was hooked up this would probably give you...

A TIP FOR THOSE WHO ARE "CARBURETIONALLY CHALLENGED"

hey theres one beauty to having a 750 on a 302, at cruising speeds your still running on the idle circuits. if you have a a/f ratio meter adjust the mixture till its in the green and get good gas milage(althoug youll have a bit of a dead spot at part throttle low rpm) got 25 mpg (highway of...

    Solid motor mounts 70 sportsroof

i did a solid mount on my falcon so i wouldnt have engine movement(really tight headder fit). dang i wish i would of known how much of a teeth rattler that was. i ended up making rubber washers-spacers out of a conveyer belt and put inbetween motor mounts that helped alot

Which is the smart way? Rebuild or crate shortblock?

id be leary of the workmanship of any ordered engine. especially gm goodwrench, iv'e seen more bad ones than good ones. most of the time you have a good machinist and tools in these factories and have people who barely break minimum wage who barely speak english assemble them. i swear this...

I'm doing an EFI conversion, have a few ?'s

went to harbor freight and bought 3 cloth buffing wheels and a cheap buffer/grinder. the red and white componds they have that come with wheels suck. ended up buying emry compound and tripili in tubes worked much better.(also alot of 3m surfacing disks). i also have quite a bit of old...

    A PERFORMANCE sacrilegious swap

the only cross breeding of engines iv'e ever comtemplated doing was a 302 into a nissan pathfinder. reason being the nissan was cheap and the engine was blown. this would of made a great vehicle for pulling a 4 place sled trailer out west. but alas the 302 is just an inch too long

I'm doing an EFI conversion, have a few ?'s

im doing an efi conversion on my falcon, and have a few questions to ask. 1. im relocating the battery to the trunk and am not quite sure the best way to route the wires. should they be under the car with a shield, ran inside the car or should i do something else? 2. im goin to mount a...

    HP gains from Cam swap.

the bigest advantage to a roller cam is the faster ramp rates(valves open and close faster) and most of the 280 and above grinds the valve stays open at max liftfor a short duration instead of coming down as soon as it gets there. if you were to "map out" the curve on a graph a roller cam of...

ah so you got demons bad apple too. i know the stumble your talkings about at wot. the transition circuit in the secondaries are super lean or dont work at all. theres no easy fix for this if one at all. i did figure out a work around for this though. in the secondary linkage, i put a bolt thru...
