the e-303 cammed 302 in my capri is tired and im contemplating putting my 289 in it. its really low miles about 3000 or so with a dinky cam in it(wanted a cruiser motor when i built it) c3ae 289 heads home ported.
this is what im thinking to put in it
isky mega cam 381281 280 advertised 232 @.050 .517 lift 108 lsa single pattern.
crane springs 99839-16 121# seat 298# at .500
when installed the car it'll have stealth intake, 2.5 hooker supercomp exhaust, flowtech shorties and a road demon 625.
with those springs am i gonna need better retainers and pushrods(heads have pushrod guides cast into it)? or is there a better cam i can get for the heads(prefer faster ramp cam)? also i was thinking about getting summits cheap stainless chevy valves 1.94 1.60. or will stock size do the job?
the car is not driven much, its simply a play toy with some track time.
