Need quick opinion on Pro-M mass air

Wow, thanks a ton guys. I appreciate all the info. I didn't get the unit, but I now have a lot more to consider in terms of calibration and such as per Micheal Younts comments. johnf your not old, I'm just a bit new to mustangs (only had mine since November) and before that I had an 88 chevy...

Need quick opinion on Pro-M mass air

It was more a question of quality. I'm curious as to the reputation of pro-m mass air meters since I'm saving parts for my end combo, not so much for the current setup.

Need quick opinion on Pro-M mass air

I have a mac fenderwell cold air intake, cobra upper and lower with manifold spacer, I'm fairly sure either a b or e cam (put in before I bought it), shorties with off-road h-pipe, no smog, no cats Was going to buy it now and save it for when I get my 255 in tank and 30lb injectors, as well...

Need quick opinion on Pro-M mass air

75mm calibrated for 30lb injectors, polished for around 60 bucks. 14k miles on it. Think thats worth it? I haven't heard a ton about pro-m stuff

    347ci bored .30 over is a 350 right?

by the math a 347 bored out should be a 351, but I thought a 347 was already bored out, so going 60 over would probably weaken it too much.

    Tires

Depends on if you burn out or not. Nitto 555's are the DR of choice in most posts. I have a set on the rear and they are very good. I'd say you can get 20k miles if you avoid smoking em for the most part. Others may disagree, but it all goes with how you drive them.

    naturally noisy?

Yeah mine is very loud as well, with 140k on it, maybe I should replace it. 255 in tanks arent too pricey.

Great buy, the 89 is my favorite (big surprise:)) Does it have subframes and all the other quick add ons already?

    My car has a pool!

You don't have a gasket, you have butyl tape sealing it stock, urethane if its been replaced, and if it never leaked before, it is unlikely that it is now. If you think its the windshield, dry out your drivers footwell, take a hose, and run it on the top of your ws, just let it slowly flow down...

    Aerostar driveshafts?

Actually in the new summit mag their DS price went to the 260 mark as well. It finally went up 100 across the board completely. I got mine right before the price hike.

got some vibes i want to sort out.

Extreme vibration like you describe is almost always a misbalanced driveshaft, since it only happens at certain speeds. I had a similiar problem and a new DS fixed it. The bad thing is now you have to pay 260 for a new DS instead of the old 160. It still is cheaper then a decent rebalancing, and...

Too much oil pressure? If so, how/why?

At 299k I'd say you were past borrowed time and into stolen time.:) It definatly is a pump issue. Just out of curiosity, what viscosity oil are you running currently?

    Help me PLEASE!!!!!!

You should buy or look for an engine diagram that showed pictures part by part. Chilton manual pictures suck so don't use it. I knew very little about cars before the stang, but these forums, trial and error, talking to my dad, and research and I have learned most of the components of the car.

    tire question....

225/50/16's up front with no rub, lowered (I think with eibach lowering springs) 245/50/16 nitto DR's on the rear Seems to be the best combo for most people.

Custome intake with two or three throttle bodies!

custom upper is big bucks, especially since you have to be careful and not have ones that disperse the a/f mixture unevenly. You could maybe fab up a connector plate/tube setup that merges the 2 tb's into 1 outlet tube that mates up to your upper, but that would lead to even more clearance...

    tire question....

I run 225's on the front, but just from reading around here, I wouldn't go wider then 245's on the front tires, and even then, you may have to adjust for a tiny bit of rub.

    Deleting Rear Seat...

Make your own for the hatch out of mdf or something, you can just flatten it out and leave open space under it. I molded my sub box into the space and will turn my hatch area back into a smooth carpetted storage area with a storage compartment underneath with a door (spare tire well area)
