Bought an 89 last weekend

Hey everyone I just bought an 89 LX 5.0L hatch. Its a 5 speed with 93,000 miles on it. Its black but it needs some new paint because it is faded. It has a saleen wing and an svo hood but both are in black primer as of now. The interior is very clean, it even has the ashtray lid still intact. The motor smokes if you just rev it or punch it, but the car still runs strong. It also has a pretty big dent in the passenger door but he gave me a good deal.

The reason I dont care about the smoke or the door is:

He gave me a 99 Explorer 5.0L shortblock with 40k miles and some gt40p heads. He also gave me two perfect doors for the car that I can swap out when Im ready to paint it. I am probably going to take the explorer motor apart this weekend and see what it looks like inside. I gave $3100 for everything so I think I got a fair price.

wow, thats an incredible deal... especially if it's just smoking because it's running a little rich... just tune the fuel and you're good to go... what color is tha smoke?

Does it have subframes and all the other quick add ons already?

congrads! i love the 89' (maybe biased) because it doesn't have the big ugly steering wheel and you can get the tilt wheel option like i have. just don't hit anything going real fast

Yeah my car has pw, pdl (not working), tilt, and working cruise control.

BTW this is my first Mustang ever, and also my first V8 ever. Im 20 and ive never had a V8 until now and I have been a fan of mustangs and fast cars for a long time. I just couldnt afford it before. Anyway, Im just anxious to get it done and have it like I want it.

Would it make you mad if I told you i got my car in my sig (all mods done already)for 4700 and the paint was perfect too? hehehe jk
