    fixed fogs today - I replaced the fogs recently with new aftermarket units from CJ Pony Parts for 17.99 each and one of the bulbs must have been bad - replaced the actual bulb in one of them after checking them one at a time and they work fine now.

    who has 1.7 rr's on stock e7te's & what length pushrod do you use?

    no shims on either of my engines - heads were not shaved and the block was not decked on either and used hydraulic roller lifters -- you will need to probably remove and fabricate a sheet metal oil filler baffle if you re-use the stock valve covers as the 1.7s rollers may hit it

    30 amp fuse did not pop - only left it on for about 3-4 seconds - it made the lights go dim while it was on so I cut the fogs off immediately and took the fuse out. I am going to buy a new light switch tommorrow at the local auto parts store if they still keep them in stock.

    Did a search - nothing matches my problem. I turn on the lights and hit the fog switch and the 15 amp fuse pops. I replace the fuse with a 30 amp and do the same thing - lights go dim but the fog lights do NOT come on - left them on for 4 or 5 seconds and cut it off for fear of burning things up...

    Thanks guys - worked on it a little today - put BG 44k in the tank - full can to 1/4 tank of gas to get max effect and drove it about 10 miles. Replaced the fuel filter, put in Autolite 25's, replaced wires and re-set timing to 14.5* with the spout out and put it back it - idle is even better...
