Which gear to get with AOD??

ok Im wanting to swap gears in my 87 AOD. I hear most people going with a 4:10 with the AOD cars. What do yall think about a 4:30? Too low? The 4:30 is a little cheaper than the 4:10. Also, the car is not a daily driver but I do take it to town a few times a month (interstate, approx 50 miles...

    Suggestions with vibration...

hmmm...only in 5th? Like "iwashmycar", my 94 had a vibration @ about 65-75 mph. Horrible. I tried a few different things but to make a long story short, I got an aluminum driveshaft and it stopped. Now, about a month later, i have some kind of grinding noise(sounds like DS rubbing bottom of...

coil doesnt spark, where to look?

Probably the TFI module. Its on the side of the distributor. The TFI module going bad is pretty common on fords. Make sure you use the "grease" that comes with the new one. Good luck

My mechanical skillz are about at the sophmore level so I really dont know. But my guess is yes because I "think" there is a difference because of the elctronics. Also, did you use the new electrical "grease" on it? Check that as well.
