    Top End Cleaner/Seafoam--Opinions?

    The car runs great. The only issue I'm having is detonation/pre-ignition. The car used to run fine on 87 octane and 12*, now it pings at 10* on 87 octane. My thought's were to use a top end cleaner and hopefully set my timing back to 12*.

    Don't know if mine's original or not. I've put almost 80k on the car since I've bought it. Haven't replaced the clutch yet.

    Roller cam, Forged pistons. Double roller timing chain set.

    100 miles/tank ?

    I've got as much as 330 miles on a tank of gas, combo city and highway. I average about 260-300. If I drive sensibly I average about 22-23mpg in my GT.

    Best Oil to help Oil Pressure

    I run 10w-30 in the winter/fall/spring months. I run 20w-50 from June to Sept.

    very high miles...5.0 vs 4.6

    My GT has 204K on it, and it's my DD. I average about 26mpg on long trips. The LX has 237k....both cars still running strong. The only thing done to either engine is valve cover gaskets on the GT at 200K.

    AOD Shift Points?

    Is there any way to easily adjust the shift points on an 86 AOD. The 1-2 upshift seems fine. 2-3 shift at about 4200-4400. I would like to get it up to 4800-5000 if possible. Thanks. Jeremiah

    $90 bucks for a Reman, $25 for the inner tie rod. The rack feels solid-no slack.

    I just found out my right side inner tie rod end is shot. Outers are a breeze, the inner is different than anything I've dealt with in the past. Any tips on replacement? Any ideas are welcome. BTW-This is on the GT. Thanks, Jeremiah

    tips for driving for better milaege?

    My last fill up I averaged 23.7mpg in the GT. 30% city 70% hwy. I would like to break 25.
