Inner Tie Rod End

I just found out my right side inner tie rod end is shot. Outers are a breeze, the inner is different than anything I've dealt with in the past.

Any tips on replacement? Any ideas are welcome.

BTW-This is on the GT.

Thanks,
Jeremiah

When in the same position, it was wiser to get a reman'd rack - I figured the gears in the rack had seen better days, etc. Price the inners vs a reman'd rack and go from there - it might be smarter to get the rack (which should have new inners).

Good luck.

I agree with Hisson on this one.

P.S. Where the crap are you getting an inner tie-rod for only $25. I would really worry about the quality of that thing. A decent one will run you a good $40-45.

One reason I say what I do (and I think why Bubba-Dough might agree) is that if one side took a poop, the other probably isnt far behind (now we're up to 50 bucks). Let alone considering the outer tie rods (they will cost extra no matter which route you choose). You have to remember that the cost of an alignment needs to be factored in (they aint cheap around here). I'd rather replace it all at once (outers too) and have it aligned, rather than needing another new part shortly and having to get another alignment (that could sour the short-lived taste of the money saved).

Just my perspective. Good luck.
