Damned snake ( a serphant problem)

It only took me 5 minutes flat to change both the belt and pully. Guess that means I've done it a time or two.

    shortened my throw

After much consideration, I have decided on what to do with my old CF shifter knob. I am going to make it the handle of a walking kane I am going to carve. That way, when I'm an old man, I'll still look fast.

    shortened my throw

yeah, I noticed mine is a little harder to shift also. It's strange that harder can also be faster. I like mine the way it is right now, with a Bronco II being my last manual, the throw is now like 10X shorter than what I was already used to. That's an 89, not a pre. the earlier ones had a funny...

Damned snake ( a serphant problem)

While checking my coolant level at a friends house (yes, it was a little low) he noticed my serphantine belt was starting to roll off the tensioner. Upon fixing that problem, we noticed that my one belt, had asexually reproduced, and is now two. The tensioner pully is highly worn, and seems to...

    Question about removing a door

Oh well, I got it off. I pulled the top bolts out and bent the fender back. The gutting of the body cites the true demize of the 88 :flag: may she rest gently.

    Question about removing a door

That's pretty much it, how do I go about removing the driver door? I see a bolt on the top hinge that looks wrenchable, but the bottom one I can't see. Do I have to take off the damn fender?

    Bad happenings (near death experience)

hmm. The ratio must get skewed then. Judging by distance from 80-85, it should be.

Time has come... to sell off the stang and TC.

Will you be leaving the 'Mustang Owners Circle" for good? Or do you plan on getting another?

WOOT, big find in the J-yard today

I saw a head at the JY that had bolts just like a main crank has. I thought that was like a 1000 times better than sliding in, since it seemed less likely you'd cut a bearing or lobe. I wonder if it had 2 piece bearings too. Dunno what car it was off, I was there to bitch about my title not...

    shortened my throw

Hmm. I thought about taking the stick off and putting the knob directly on the linkage, but, that'd just be too damn short. I'd like to get into some metal working and milling, just need to find the time. If I get a job at this tire place I applied for yesterday, that'll help alot.

    Bad happenings (near death experience)

I do fully understand your reasoning. My feelings about the whole situation changed when I saw the guy the next day with his family around him, getting ready to get in the car. It had been just him the day before. He might not have seen me, but had they all been with him, someone would have. I...

    Bad happenings (near death experience)

You basically contradicted yourself there. The whole concept of 'thrill' is that you are doing something dangerous. Going 100+ is dangerous. So is sky diving, bungy jumping, rock climbing, bmx'ing, ect. We as humans have a need to push the limits of our own mortality, to prove death that were...

    shortened my throw

That's what I was thinking... Don't need bloody knuckles, or a busted radio. Good shot, I guess I'll deal with mine till I can swing some welding or one of those nice ones.

    Coil Springs/rear brakes

Seeing as how I have brand new shocks, yet my cars still feels floaty, I am thinking I also need new coil springs. Now, when it comes to things like that, I'm an a OE kind of guy. I am thinking that a new set of stock coils would pretty much feel like an upgrade at this point. Are their any...

    Bad happenings (near death experience)

I'm sorry to hear about that. And sorry on spelling, it's hard for me to watch when I'm trying to get a point across. I'm not defending driving like that. It's a risk we take. I will tell you this; there is no other rush in the world like the one I had after that experience yesterday. If that...

    shortened my throw

Hmm. Those look really nice, but, while driving it today I noticed that the angle of the shifter made it hard for me to hold the knob as designed when in 2nd and 4th. Looks like that tri-ax will do the same thing. Is there not a straight stick that will bolt to the t-5? Or is the crook for some...

Its official, My Fox has more $$ in now than its worth...

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn those are nice wheels my man. That's a pretty big camber problem. I'd think non-stock application struts could definatley have something to do with that. But with your obvious aptitude for stang tinkering, I bet you can figure it out. If not, any shop with a good Hunter...

    Bad happenings (near death experience)

I can understand you feeling that way. If I had been in that guys shoes I'm sure I'd be just as mad as you sound. But I don't think that intelligence is directly corrilated with enjoyment. Me and my friend enjoyed reaching those speeds. I wasn't planning on maintaing them for long. All it came...
