How to wire a 1 wire alternator with trunk mounted battery

I ran a separate 1/0 welding cable line from the alt to the batt (with a fuze). I have another 1/0 that goes to a shut off switch then to everything else.

    spraying POR 15

sprayed with preval can sprayer and a touch up HVLP gun. The gun worked much better. I'd use a foam brush. But usually with all the tight spaces a gun will have better coverage. Make sure you protect your lungs, nasty stuff.

    66 mini tub updates/streched fenders

you didn't hijack anything Dennis. Thanks for sharing. This stuff needs to be posted all over the place, as when I did mine I made a ton of mistakes. Had I seen this I might have had room for 30's. I trimmed a little around the front, but wish I trimmed more.

    POR 15 questions

I coated mine with 3M body schutz, with the no cleanup gun (while is was still tacky). Seems to have worked well so far. I followed the directions, and let it sit over night after the metal ready. From what I've read I wish I would have gone with epoxy, but like I said mine seems good so far...

need help with 66 wiper motor/switch

well I solved the problem making my own harness, using left over wires and about $2 worth of connectors. The issue was if I bought the harness ($45) and the motor did not work I would have been out $45, or had to buy the more expensive 2 speed motor ($300ish); and if it was the switch would...

need help with 66 wiper motor/switch

I installed a generic painless harness. It is more of a race car, when it comes to wiring than street car. It has a a switch panel for everything but the wipers. I saved the wiper switch and motor thinking it would be easier to use it, but I am not sure what to do. I have none of the...

    302 distributor

since you are running a 6AL, why not a MSD dissy without the vac adv. Use the one with mechanical adv, I used one before and it worked great. It has springs to adjust the rate of which the adv comes in. You can use the timing light and watch your tach to determine if all the adv is in when...

    Trick to welding under car?

I had issues with this too, but was eventually able to do it. I think I might have slowed the wire down a tad, or maybe increased the speed a little. Can't remember now, but it did get easier after doing it a couple times and adjusting the machine. I also got the car up as high as possible...
