    I'm running a GT-40 5.0 long block thats been switched out Performer heads, intake, E-303, roller rockers and a Powerdyne supercharger (6psi). 74,000 miles and still going. Although I don't quite have the faith in it I used to; I'll probably drop in a DSS shortblock sometime in the next year.

    My idle is surging and I've cleaned everything; IAC, MAF, and verified TPS voltage at .98v.     I'll second that suggestion. I had plugged my breather tube that feeds to the intake stream because I was changing around my plumbing MAF setup. Exact same symptoms.

    Can a 5.0 be swapped into a 2.3 four banger for street use and still pass smog in California? Has anyone here done this? Edit: Now that I think about it, I'm don't think it would get past the visual inspection. Maybe if I painted 2.3L on the intake.
