To Restore or Resto-Mod 68 Fastback

I would build the car the way it would make you happy. With that being said and if it was my car, I would restore the car with some minor mods such as wheels and engine dress up parts. the car seems very well documented and very complete with most (if not all) of the original parts. The color...

    autcross and roadrace guys....

tires are a must. I don't even think bald would be a good word to describe how worn my tires are. I think over my spring break I might go for some basic weight reduction, modify my strut tower brace, and sub frames. If I luck up on a good deal on a good set of springs I might buy some.

EMERGENCY MY MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE APPEARS TO BE STOLEN SOMEBODY HELP ME QUICKLY

His screen name doesn't cross reference any other popular mustang site either. If it is in fact real, I hate it for ya dude but your car is loooonnngggg gone now. If it's a fake story, you need to find something better to with your life.

    Coolant Leaking - Not Good

If you got time, might want to run the timing chain cover by your local machine shop and have the surfaces decked lightly. Mine had a slight warpage to it. Machine shop just roughed it up and made sure everything was square. Cost me around 20 bucks to have it done.

cross drilled/slotted rotors or stock one?

unless you need to stop really quick from 150-0, I'd get the plain rotors or at the most a slotted. I have a set of 13" brembo slotted/cross drilled on my stang. yeah they stop but the warped on me in no time. when ever I go to buy new front rotors, they will be blanks or slotted. cross drilled...

    Exhaust options

Ran dumps for a while before the axle. It was ok but the drone killed it for me. I've gone back to factory tail pipes with the summit welded mufflers. I as have an X-pipe and I'm very pleased with the sound. good thing about the summit mufflers is that they are cheap.

    autcross and roadrace guys....

I've already got a 13" cobra front brake kit and a Steeda rear sway bar (broke the factory one). I thought about taking my old strut tower brace and cutting and welding it back to clear my intake. What do you guy use or recommend for tires or better yet what would you not recommend? I've got to...

    Auto with hanging idle..

I've got the hanging idle problem with my AODE 5.0. When I rev in park it takes a while for it to come back and settle in. After some searching around on here, I was wondering does the IAC restriction plate trick work for the autos as well? Also, what else would you guys recommend? Thanks for...

    piston cleanup question

I'm assuming you have a 302 but I found a link to Summit Ford block. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=SES%2D5%2D60%2D04%2D200&autoview=sku Hope this helps.

    piston cleanup question

I would think the price of a fresh basic 302 .30 would be the same if not cheaper than having you block fixed and bored. I remember Summit used to sell blocks for under a grand that were made by Ford.

    390 starting problems...

it has spark and the rotor turns. The points open and close as they should. I think this weekend I will try the coffee can gas. I have a spare carb that I might bolt on and see if I can rule out that part.

    390 starting problems...

Thought I might see what some of you guys thought about the 390 in my 62 T-bird. I know it's not a Mustang but 390 is a pretty universal big block in the 60s. I went to change the points and condenser due to the points were pretty well used. I got the car running and ran great for about 15...

How much would you pay for this?

I'd pass if it was me. Some pretty serious rust going on there. Be a challenge for sure. I'd keep looking for a better body.

Thumper Performance E7 Heads : Who has them and how is the performance?

I have a set of Thumpers E7s and the work done to the heads was BEAUTIFUL. I have a set of 1.7 rollers on a stock cam and the power is very nice. My set up has a lot of top end power and decent low end. I am very pleased with the work and dealing with Thumper couldn't have been any better. Very...
