Looking at buying an 03 cobra, ?'s

Hey everyone, I've been looking into getting a terminator, but wasn't really planning on getting one until later this year (money issues). However, I found a local 03 cobra with 28,000 miles and he is asking for 23,500. I know that normally when I looked at these cars, the owners (don't...

    Blower Motor ??'s

It started a couple of days ago, nothing comes through the vents. I figured look for some kind of fuse issue, but I don't know which one it is. Can someone post the fuse layout, and which fuse it is. Any other ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,

Going to the dyno this sat, ??'s

Sorry, forgot to take the extender off of my sig. I used to use it to take off the shift retard and adjust the air fuel when it was NA. Yeah, as far as the tune, thats just how expensive it is in Seattle. I've had 3 shops quote me that, but when I lived in TX, it was around 500-600. So I...

Going to the dyno this sat, ??'s

Only under load at a low rpm maybe , but I haven't really gotten on it since the s-trim. Not seeing any boost, I don't really notice any pinging.

Going to the dyno this sat, ??'s

So I went to the dyno a couple of weeks ago, and basically could not get a full run in because the car had pinged. It was late in the day, so the shop didn't really try anything. They did give me a pretty good deal, so I am going back. Anyway, I know pinging is a timing issue, but is there...

    got dyno'd today

Agreed seems kinda low. W/ gt-40 intake, pulleys, exhaust, I had 245 rwhp, 292 rwtq. Was on a dynojet though. I would check for codes, check for any vacuum leaks, re check the intake ( my bolts usually need re torque after about 200 miles or so).

WAY Down on Power... I Hate my Car

I would try to pull codes even though you don't have the check engine light on, just to see if there are any codes, or codes in memory(may indicate an intermitten problem). You could also try to reinstall the intake to see if there was anything you missed, (how I found out that my lower intake...

    What's your gas mileage??

The last time I checked, around 16-17mpg, before the cam and blower.

What would you do H/C/I or Vortech.

I would get the vortech, usually from what I've seen you will get more hp than going the h/c/i. I would think a vortech on a relatively stock car and good tune can hit over the 300rwhp mark with ease. I also think 5.0 or some mag did a comparison between the s-trim, and h/c/i, and the s-trim put...

RPM's wont drop down after driving

I had a similar problem w/my old 87, when the rpms stayed up around 2500. I unplugged the tps while the car was runing and it would come back down. Replaced tps and problem fixed. MIght wanna try unplugging the tps just to see what it does.

    Header help please...

I never liked E/L's because of a plug wire burning problem I had on #3. I would recommend unequals or L?T's.

Is there really a 'better' set of wires for our cars?

I've used taylor, msd, and holley wires ( don't know if they still make them or not), I think its more for looks than anything else. I guess maybe on a forced induction engine might make more of a difference. I've used to change them alot because of my mac equal shorty's eating up #3 wire, but...

Is Big Block power worth it?

I've never owned a bb car, or swapped in one, but I would guess you would need motor mounts, headers, new hood, bellhousing, tranny, and all the supporting hardware. Although I thought I've seen bb motors in our cars in some mags in the past. It would be cool to have, but I think I would rather...

    Well, back from the dyno.

I think you would have hit over 500 with better temps. Great #'s.:nice:

    Oil Pressure Gauge Install ?'ss

Thanks for the help, I will try to finish up tomorrow. I've already got something with a fuse tap in #17 (T-rex), hopefully I won't have any problems.

    Oil Pressure Gauge Install ?'ss

Sorry, this may be a dumb question, but when you say get your 12v from the fuse box, should I just use a test light to see if it gets power with the key on and use like a fuse tap or something? I'm not 100% sure how you guys are hooking it into the fuse box. Thanks,

    Oil Pressure Gauge Install ?'ss

I thought I tapped into that wire already. I thought to use the dimmer switch so that the guages will dim with the lights. But the instructions say to have an additional switchable 12v sou8rce ( I assume for when the guage is not lighted so it will just work ) thats the wire I'm looking for. Or...

    Oil Pressure Gauge Install ?'ss

I've got the double a pillar pod. I'm running an electric o/p and mech boost guage. I don't know if the red wire will reach my ashtray light wiring. To be honest, I've never looked for/or taken out the wiring for the ashtray light. For you guys that hooked it into the ashtray light, where did...

    Oil Pressure Gauge Install ?'ss

I'm trying to install an autometer electric oil pressure gauge. I have the power for the lights hooked into my light switch, and have found a good ground. But I can't find a switchable 12 volt source. I took off the lower cover under my ignition switch and stearing wheel, but dont know which...
