Has anybody used a wet NOS system on a stock motor on a regular basis?

I've been to 13 different dragstrips in my life. I can't say I've been to Sunshine or Bradenton. The farthest I will go for a weekly event is Immokalee. Been to Orlando once, can't say I was impressed. Bradenton is well known to be the best hooking track in the southeast. Although Immokalee...

Has anybody used a wet NOS system on a stock motor on a regular basis?

I am very familiar with ANYTHING that deals with Fox body Mustangs. I just wanted opinions on the NOS thing because a 150 wet shot is not norm for most people. And neither is a 1993 Mustang bracket car. BUT, I'm not bragging, I race against all thses decked out tubbed, BBC, tube-chassis cars...

Has anybody used a wet NOS system on a stock motor on a regular basis?

Blue, sorry I didn't respond sooner. Been busy. You don't want to run Super Pro. IMO it is boring. Running a footbrake class is more gratifying when you go rounds because it means you did something right. In Super Pro, most of the time it is a matter of sometimes thousandths of a second. Of...

Has anybody used a wet NOS system on a stock motor on a regular basis?

What kind of bracket car are you looking to build? What combo? I was thinking of the plate kit. I'm still leery about it though only because I don't like nitrous. I'm going to have to wait and see what the ET limits are going to be set at. I was just trying to get some opinions beforehand...

Thanks 86bluecobra. I figured there would be more replies to this subject.

Sorry about the repeat posting. AOL was hanging up and it never told me the message was submitted.

Has anybody used a wet NOS system on a stock motor on a regular basis?

I'm looking to step up my bracket car for the upcoming year. One of our local tracks is looking to split up our footbrake bracket class into Pro (10.00-13.99) and sportsman (13.00-slower). I currently run in the mid 14.2's during the heat of the winter. The sportsman level class is usually for...

    Cobra Intake

The suspension has been adjusted for max traction. The Strange 10-way adjustables really do the trick. The car never has traction issues with the 11.5 inch tires and almost 3,500 pounds. BTW, if anybody does have traction issues, I highly recommend the Strange shocks/struts. The only downfall on...

    Cobra Intake

It really isn't that slow, down here in South Florida we have TERRIBLE air during the summertime. Density altitudes are usually 2800-3200 feet. I don't want to make a project out of this. I am in the beginning stages of piecing together a 400+ CI SB to get into the mid 10's with no power adders...

    Cobra Intake

OK, I have a couple of questions. I've got a '93 Hatch that I use as my bracket car. I've got many drivetrain, chassis and suspension mods so it is set to run low 10's. However, I am still using my original motor because up to this point it has made me very succesful bracket racing so I don't...

Check out Australia and New Zealand cars

Seems Ford offers better cars in other countries. They have a diesel powered Ranger called the Courier. They also have a Falcon. You can get a Falcon 4 door, or a Falcon UTE. Here's the website from FPV. FPV is their version of SVT. They have a turbocharged 4.0 making 360 HP and 405 lb/ft of...

    4R70W trans question?

Man, wouldn't it be sweet if they built a beefier version of the 5R55E for a 5.0?

What block were you working with?

Looking to build a 4.25 stroke SB

Yeah, me too. Is why I was looking to see if anybody has done this build before. I want to know what I'll be getting myself into before I do it, lol. This kind of stroke is a serious motor, but I think if it can be done without any glitches as far as clearances, (I know Ford motors can be...

Looking to build a 4.25 stroke SB

DAMN, Im not looking for something that wild, lol. Im looking for a bracket motor. I figured the 11:1 with the 58 CC AFR 225 head. Not quite sure about the compression height, Ill have to look it up, but this is with a 6.25 rod.

Looking to build a 4.25 stroke SB

I'll have to look into that. I like that 460. I was looking at an Eagle crank and H beam rods to start with. Thanks.

Looking to build a 4.25 stroke SB

I know that JE makes a 4.125 -30cc dish piston that would make the compression 11:1. A 4.125 piston with a 4.25 stroke would make a 454 CI motor.

    Anybody with stroker motor experience?

Looking for shocks/struts to improve ride quality

Strange makes 10 way adjustables; shocks and struts for real cheap. My car is strictly for drag, but I have messed around with different settings and I can feel the difference in every setting. Between the softest setting and the tightest setting, my car can feel like a complete drag car and a...

Looking to build a 4.25 stroke SB

Has anybody in here had any experience yet with the 4.25 stroker cranks that have been produced recently? I'm looking to build a torquey bracket motor with no more than 11:1 comp. and a Dart block. I know that the 4.125 stroke cranks have been out for a while but the 4.25 is relatively new. I'm...
